I just bought a gladiator and the light is coming on. I hate that damn start stop so much I'm thinking about just keeping it the way it is. I will have one of the only Gladiators with ESS off by default lol . I wish I could just ask them to figure out what is wrong but not actually fix it but we all know that wouldn't work out. They would probably tell me it's the wrong wiper fluid.

Hi BlueCT, very sorry to read about your concerns! If you go into the dealer to have them diagnose it, feel free to let us know. We are happy to escalate a case for an extra layer of assistance while you are in for service.

Kaitlin,

I think I’m going to need your help. The dealer believes they have fixed the issue with the ESS stop start. The truck also has a wobble around 65 mph. I only put 40 miles on the truck and I felt it after being on the highway for only a few miles. I figured that would be an easy fix, maybe a tire out of balance or something. They claim they test drove it for 20 minutes and did not feel it. I can’t imagine how someone who is a mechanic drove that vehicle on a highway and didn’t feel that wobble. I’m not calling them a liar but I find it hard to imagine. I could put my hand on the passenger seat and feel it shake because of the vibration\ wobble. I am not going to take the vehicle back until they acknowledge this issue and at least attempt to fix it. The car is at DeCozen Jeep in verona NJ. What Elsa do you need to escalate this issue.
Thanks
Chris

My light came on due to my trailer brake controller. It would also kick on my sway control light. Both would come on rarely after a braking action. Then, stay on all the time when I have my trailer plugged in. Currently, I unplugged the controller until spring and unplugged, the lights haven't come on yet. I spoke to a guy at the RV shop, and he thinks it may be a programming issue with the on-board systems. So... maybe there is a flash system update in our futures.
I had the same issue after I plugged in my brake controller today. I unplugged it as you did and both ess and sway control lights/warnings went away. There must be an issue with how those systems are wired through the trailer braking/lighting wiring hopefully Jeep is aware and there will be a fix.
