Exhaust ideas for very custom setup

Hello. So just got my 392 hemi swap completed from AMW. And it's friggen awesome. But I have a topic I want some input on.

First let me tell you about my rig. I have a 2023 gladiator. 392 as I said and has a bobbed bed from motobilt. Also has a long range fuel tank from LRA. The guys at AMW did a friggen great job modifying for it. Laying the 3" pipe wonderful to route around the long range fuel tank.

But. As the LR fuel tank takes up the space they usually put in mufflers into. We had to use a pretty small high flow one.

As such. It's loud. Lol. I knew it was going to be loud. Its what I wanted. But crusing at 80ish it's really really loud. Drowning out my tire noise. Lol. I'll get used to it, but had an idea. Wanted some advice.

Since it's bobbed. I have oodles of under bed room. It's like a giant crevasse. I was thinking maybe a second high flow muffler under there. Like the JLs do. Just to curb the noise at high speed a little.

So with that in mind. I wonder what type of muffler I can use. Something that remains high flow since I have a 2:1 3" system but something that can take a little of the noise edge off.

Have you thought of opting for an aftermarket resonator instead of a muffler? I had a Pipes exhaust on my 17 JKU and it was very harsh at all speeds. I install the stock resonator after(?) the muffler and it made a world of difference; much more tolerable. Just a thought.

Now that is a good idea .. I didn't think about a resonator.

Another thing you might think about, since you just had the bed off and the bolts most likely still move, deaden the bed. You can put some roll on sound deadener under there that’s the consistency of peanut butter and it will definitely help with the drone. A lot of the sound you’re probably getting is vibrations traveling through the bed to the frame rails to the cab. Second Skin Sludge works well.

If you go with a resonator look into Vibrant. They work very well for what you’re after.

Excellent, I went down the magnaflow path today, and found something similar that will fit that space. I bought a round and oval one to see what would fit better, and I will trial it out. The thread has been extremely helpful!
