hello everybody i need some advise about pcm setup about 6.4 hemi swap that i plan to begin in few weeks in my jt

i did some searchs to find info on the net but is still unclear to me so here are some info and my following questions

my engine 6.4 ,trans 8hp70 , gpec2a pcm locked 68434934 come from same wk srt 2020 , i have been able to enter my jt serial number inside it via alfa obd . i planning to try this pcm to fit as is in jt but i have some concerns about pcm to bcm compatibility an unsure about this solution

problem is i dont know if this will realy work as is or not ? some tell pcm should match vehicule , only thing to me that get closer fit to jt is the wrangler 392 pcm but again is not exact same body , i can get a new wrangler pcm from factory around 700$can its a second viable option

i also put my hand on a used pcm from wk 2014 (8speed 8hp70) 5.7 hemi unlocked gpec2 pcm 5150816ab for cheap in case it could help me but this one ,if used will need 6.4 flash and some wiring change , as per wiring is not a problem is most about program , flash , and more about pcm to bcm compatibility

my need ,i will need to lower my fan setting to make it start as 20 degree farenight lower than stock
tuning for hp is not a top priority right now , i will priorise painless solution i dont want to spend 2000$ about tuner but if its a part of effective solution i am ready to pay fair price for it .

not sure either where stock tune can be loaded as per wrangler 392 as exemple or even if this could be loaded inside wk computer ?

so i need some good advise about all that please thanks you very much for all knowledge share and help me in this project ,an there so much tuning product in market that is not easyto pick up the best solution thanks you !

Does the BCM have to be Vin # specific to match the JT VIN # if so then you mat have problems if not ...I would try see what happens .additionally why not contact livernois about it they deal with this stuff and may have to answer.
Found this online.

While the tools needed to program a BCM are usually expensive, they are not a dealer-only item. Your local NAPA AutoCare can likely handle any BCM repair you may need.

hello thanks you , the bcm is the jt original one so it fit to rig serial number this should not be a problem at this level

as per livernois its a good idea to write them and see what come out from them , ist very appreciated thanks you !

Any updates? Currently looking to do the same swap. I currently have a donor 5.7 and 8hp70. But may switch to the 392. I'm capable of fabing and wiring anything necessary. I have many tools at my disposal. CNC plasma, Snap-on scan tool, HP tuners......
Just don't have funds and would never spend 30k for someone to provide me with parts I'm capable of making.

Hello i true i sended a message to them from suggestion i got from member but
I cant see in my sended mail so i will try to reach them by phone today they tune seem to be very apreciated . The thing here is a blend from 2 vehicle in one pcm so there no real product as per that date that i know on the market that is suited for this application yet i think this need to be customised
I took information to my local dealer also and is not afraid to do pcm adaptation that could be an other solution for now

As per your build a tricky one for will be around tranfer case to tranny adapter, seem prety close when looking and cherching on net but i discover that 8hp70 have rely different bolt pattern than 8hp50 there only 2 bolt over 7 that fit you need to weld and machine to fit 5 others but on the center the shouldering is the same so you cannot go wrong on alignement there

Hello i have been able to reach livernois today guy have been very instructive for me in fact the match between bcm to pcm adaptation must be done at the dealership first after everything run great now pcm can be now shiped to livernois unlocked and tuned an sent back ,so firt thing after swap will be a visit at dealership

Great! Really appreciate the update. Keep em coming.

I have a buddy with a machine shop. So transfer case should not be an issue. Worst case scenario a JK none Rubicon Transfer case bolts up to the 8hp70 with minor trimming to the bottom of the case.

what trim level is your JT?

Would it be easier to use 392 Jeep JL Engine Harness for the swap?

The more the merrier! I am still collecting parts. I have a 392, 8HP75 trans and MP3022 xfercase out of a Wrangler. Apparently the 470/470 hp/ftlbs weren’t enough. He swapped in a Demon!!

Not sure, I got the engine from the shop that did the swap. I am going to guess he got the PCM (GPEC2A) that came with the Demon crate engine? Though he kept his original PCM. The crate engine PCM's are special and Mopar gives you a lot more leeway when programming them and unlocking them. I believe the crate engine PCMs are factory unlocked
