Hi All: I am just starting the 6.4 Hemi swap on my 2023 Mohave. I have the 392, 8Hp75 and MP3022C transfer case out of a 392 Wrangler. Still collecting parts. Some fairly long lead times on the cooling module (radiator, condensor, trans cooler, oil cooler etc..) and the battery tray. I am going with a virgin 392 PCM. Hopefully there are others on here who are considering or who have done this. Would like to compare notes.
I have friends with 392s and friends who have done the swap. In both cases, if you're going to wheel your Mojave after the swap, then ditch the TC and get an Atlas. Next, order a 2024 grille, it has 40% better airflow which helps with cooling. Lastly, are you swapping hoods too? If not, I'd see if anyone makes an adapter to modify your Mojave hood to function like the 392 hood, the sheet metal is the same.

The core support for the 392 is different than any of the 3.6/2.0/diesel core supports. Though the other core support p/n are the same Gladiator and Wrangler. I’ll look into the airflow. Right now still collecting parts. Thanks for your interest.

Here's some of the "fun" parts I've collected. The valve cover/coil covers now have the decal in Mojave Orange as do the "392" hood emblems. Both of these were from companies licensed to sell Mopar reproductions. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 Unlimited accent color is dusty gold / Bronze.

The 392 case is a Rubicon case, but I'm assuming you mean the standard rubicon 4-1 case. Personally I think the 2.72 case is a much better fit as being able to go more than 25mph in 4LO is nice and you don't need 4-1 with 470ftlbs of torque and an auto with a 4.7-1 1st gear. The ratio in the 392 case is a better match. The problem is the clutches/ limited slip built into the front output tend to become an unlimited slip under hard use and losing 4wd is the last thing I'd want in a Jeep. I'd either keep the mojave case or go atlas personally.

Do those bolt up to the 8HP75 tail housing? The “standard” 4:1 Rubicon case is behind everything but the 392? I know the Atlas takes a fabricated adapter. I personally would still lean towards the Borg Warner (44-47) they use behind the 6.4 and 6.7 Diesel the put in the 2500/3500 and even 4500 truck. It’s close to the 2:71 ratio. If memory serves me right they’re 2:64. Plus you can do 2H!!

I think the mounting flange is the same, input shaft might be different. Personally I'd run the mojave case you already have in the Jeep. No clutches, 2wd option, 2.72 gearing in 4LO.
