Hi All: I am just starting the 6.4 Hemi swap on my 2023 Mojave. I have the 392, 8Hp75 and MP3022C transfer case out of a 392 Wrangler. Still collecting parts. Some fairly long lead times on the cooling module (radiator, condensor, trans cooler, oil cooler etc..) and the battery tray. I am going with a virgin 392 PCM. Hopefully there are others on here who are considering or who have done this. Would like to compare notes.

I’ve talked with a number of Wrangler 392 owners. They all seem fairly happy with the stock xfercase. If I do have a failure, I think I’d go with BW44-47 manual transfer case out of a 2500. For now though still collecting parts. Thanks for your interest.

Hoping to do an “OEM” swap! Mopar almost makes it seem like they want you to do this. They even make the Weld on frame perches available. Clearly though the devil is in the details!

I'm happy with the transfer case on my 2022 392. I only have 22,000 miles on it so far, but I'm running 40s and have done the Rubicon twice, all of the tough trails in Moab a couple of times, and countless other trails, with no problems at all. I changed the transfer case fluid at 18,000 miles and it was quite dark, as would be expected for a transfer case that runs on clutches. But if you keep up with maintenance, I wouldn't call them a weak link that needs to be avoided.

If starting from scratch I might go with an Atlas with a 3.5:1 ratio. But I see no need to change to one with my stock transfer case functioning perfectly.

Good luck with your Mojave plans. It sounds like a worthwhile project.

I recommend the Atlas T-case also.

I would not be surprised if some people have it auto spell correct to "Mohave" which is the english spelling for the Spanish "Mojave" .

I've seen it spelled that way a bunch here and thought maybe there's some joke that I'm missing 🤷

I envy your build but also wish you the best of luck. I had a srt grand Cherokee, and as soon as I hit 60k I started having problems. Everything on that car was 1k + replacement. I had around 90,000 miles on it when the motor finally gave but it was 2 weeks after paying 2000 for a transmission rebuild and I said that was enough. Luckily I found a dealer that traded it in via picture for my JL so I didn’t lose money on motor replacement. Either that being said I wouldn’t hesitate to do the same thing to my JT, I just know what to expect now haha
