I was just asking on the other thread if everyone was just signing up for these crazy interest rates…..even with the discounts it doesn’t seem like a great deal to me with those

imo ….the incentives are their Hail Mary to deal with the interest rates that imo are idiotic to buy at
The rates are absolutely insane... If my intent (and financial position) was not to double down on payments, I wouldn't be going forward. From my math, its still going to cost me about $6K in interest over the 3 years I have this 72 month loan, but that I can stomach. Basically I'm going to be giving back half of the 15% off MSRP deal. If I can pay it off even faster I will though, its going to be my top priority from a debt perspective. Last two new cars I bought in 2018 I got both at 0% LMAO. Boy times have changed.

The GF and I are going to pick up her 2023 Gladiator this Saturday. Sticker just over 52k and the OTD price is just over 40k for a relatively well equipped Sport S (only missing heated seats which we will do aftermarket). She's paying for it outright so no issues with crazy interest rates. Could have possibly pressed for a better deal but we are happy. It's a buyers market out there right now.

I literally found a rubicon with a sticker of 43k today! I said I can put 10k down if need be and the payment was $900 a month with 11% interest lmaoooooo and we wonder why the sales are down? I wish I could just write the check for 43k but I can’t ……this is exactly why sales are down …..the lease was 8,000 down 700 month! This is on a 43k car! My credit score was 750

what does it matter if the sticker is 43k…..those were payments for cars welll over a 100k years ago

my sports s in 2020 the sticker was 48k and I put 2k down and paid 470 a month. How does this make sense now

That is one hell of a brutal interest rate. We didn't even entertain the idea of financing with the dealer, so can't comment on what her rate would have been with a similar credit score. Thankfully we've been able to position ourselves where paying in full is a feasible option. It definitely seems tough these days. People, in general, will need to start prioritizing needs/wants and focus on dropping more $$$ on the down payment rather than finance it. :/

Personally, I'm grateful that she decided on her own the she A. wanted a Gladiator and B. wanted it at less than 50k.

Mine has been built but dealer has no clue on shipping. He said some ship immediately and other sit some for months. My luck they will run this 15% off through March and mine will be delivered in April ?
We keep going back and forth on this topic between threads LOL...

That said, I've also been watching a similar thread over on the JL Wrangler forum for the last few weeks as they're all in the same boat. This guy's post just gave me a glimmer of hope that my dealer is right and mine will show up next week between the 10th and 14th despite my tracker still showing TBD for shipping! (he recently took delivery and his tracker is still showing as TBD)

Perhaps the case for you too... Based on the dates I've seen you post, I think our trucks were probably neighbors going down the line (Both Punk'n Mojaves, ordered in late August, scheduled 9/22, in production on 12/15 and estimated delivery dates end of Jan 1/24 for you and 1/25 for me)

Yeah it’s been a little crazy for me the past couple days. I reached out to a few dealers that had my build almost exact except for some very small build parameters like hood decal and black grill. One dealer made me such a good offer that I couldn’t pass it up and just pulled the trigger! Getting 22% of MSRP and picking up tomorrow. I wish you and all the other folks waiting and hoping to get their Gladiator in time for the incentives good luck!
Either way I think this deal is as good or better than what I would have gotten if I did take delivery before incentives changed. Plus I get it in 24 hours vs who knows when. I was also told that my hood decal and spray in bed liner might hold up my delivery date even more because it has to be sent somewhere else for those parts as it’s not done at the factory.

Congrats man!! I saw your post earlier today about the tow package and knew you were on the fence, didn't know you took the leap! Can't wait to see some photos!

I REALLY thought about doing the same, I've actually been looking the last week or two myself. Unfortunately I spec'd a bit of a unicorn and with spending the better part of $60K, I have a hard time wrapping my head around compromising. I'm an odd duck apparently, I don't want a hard top, I want the premium soft top, I want the steel gray leather, I want the trail cam, I want the aux switches and of course Punk'n (but with color matched fenders). Couple that with the tow package, LED package, cold weather, I'm looking for a needle in a haystack. I've only seen one Punk'n with the steel gray leather, and that was a few months back down south (and it left many other boxes unchecked for me, photo below). Wish I wanted something more common!

I hear you in that and honestly if I had not found one with all the major build parameters that I wanted I would be waiting like you and many others. My 3 main requirente were LED package, cold weather group and Tow package and of course Punkin! I got lucky and found all of those things plus all the other options I wanted except for two minor things so I am good to go. Will definitely post pics tomorrow.

Is anyone finding dealers aren’t willing to negotiate? I have been looking in and out of state. Seems like the dealers are just sticking with their advertised price. Any crazy prices out there have tons of fees or dealer adds. The floor seems like $14-15k off a lower MSRP (59k) and $15-16k off a high MSRP (64-66k). I just thought dealers would negotiate more on a vehicle selling poorly.

Around me, one dealer is discount a couple thousand on some models in addition to the current incentives but they have like 40+ on the lot. Other dealer is just only advertising whatever the current incentive is, nothing more but they have maybe 5-6 at any given time.

I would imagine some dealers are just thinking why sacrifice their margins when the manufacturer is already deep cutting anyways? At the end of the day, most dealers know what their operating margins are and what sales model to sell it. Just because it does not make sense to us, it makes sense to them because they have the data models to back them up.

I know exactly what you mean and have found the same exact things and coupled that with the interest rates…..everything still seems crazy to me….unless your paying in cash

I am even paying in cash (and cash isn’t king at the dealer anymore). They are offering a dealer discount…$4-5k. I just see more room for negotiation for a vehicle with a terrible sales record lately.

I absolutely agree with you…..I keep telling them I guess you'd rather take it to auction and I really believe they would…..

but the other thing is I really believe people will pay anything for anything these days. People spend 80$ on going to breakfast and buy 2,000 dollar shoes that make 50k a year nowadays

so maybe the flash of the big discounts are getting people to buy and don’t care about paying 8-11% interest ….seems like alot on here are doing it anyway

I think Jeep going to eliminate dealers and go direct from manufacturers orders.
