That sucks. Are you able to try a different dealership? Those look similar to mine. I dropped mine off at the dealership on 12/8 for corrosion issue and another issue and was notified yesterday that they got the approval for the replacement hood and it is at the body shop getting painted and I should have it back on Monday. I had issues with a couple other dealerships before I found this one that is excellent and have no issues with it.
I just moved, and this is the nearest dealership. Others are about an hour away. Kind of stuck at the moment waiting for the approval. I was hoping that Jeepcares would speed things up.

The real scary part is that the service manager thinks there is a mileage limit on the corrosion warranty. He said he will still submit my claim but it will likely get rejected. I told him that he better recheck the corrosion warranty. Maybe that is why Stellantis hasn't approved it yet, the dealership never sent in the request. Maybe that us why Jeepcares has asked for more details.

That really sucks. Maybe try taking the warranty in with you next time so you have a hard copy with you to show it is 5 year unlimited mileage. Have you tried calling @JeepCares to open a case with them? Not sure if that would help or not. 1-877-426-5337

I think I have an open case with Jeepcares. I have 4-5 pm's with them already, but I don't think they see a warranty claim from me in their system. I think the dealership is dropping the ball. I'll be out of time in a couple of weeks but I do have some sort of documentation for potential recourse.

Just picked up Maximus last night. Total time was exactly 3 weeks. Dropped it off on 12/8 and picked up on 12/22. They replaced the hood with a new one. Now just have to replace the decals.

I got mine done a few months ago, sorry you’re dealing with this. Mine got approved same day. If they replace with new parts, this fix will be good for the life of the vehicle. When my dealership did it, they replaced all 4 doors hood and tailgate. The new hinges have a zinch shim per TSB which supposedly acts a a sacrificial anode. The paint shop also fully painted the panels then put hinges on, vice the factory where they bolt hinge on and paint over it all, (good job jeep). My service advisor said the ones they tried to repair ended up coming back, but he hasn’t had a single return for ones where panels where replaced with new parts.

Can you believe that I am still working on approval from Stellantis? I got a call last week from the dealership. This was after I dropped by the week before to discuss the status of my claim. I received a phone call from Jeep
cares, and it seemed like they had no idea of my claim and gave me a case number. That is when I went back to the dealer. Last week the dealer asked me to take my Jeep to xxx bodyshop for an estimate. I did that same day. Today I got a quote for $1855 as an insurance claim and no mention of warranty work or the dealership.

The quote is to repair the hood, tailgate and 1 door. No replacements were noted.

I am getting screwed!

I wonder if it is too late to take it to an actual Jeep bodyshop?

Dealership called and my hood came in and they asked me to drop off my jeep at the paint shop for repair said it should take a week for paint and install. I talked to the service manager and asked if they could paint the hood and call me when they are ready for the change out. They did a color verification and agreed to call me when the new hood was ready instead of leaving my gladiator for who knows how long. Common sense prevails in today's world which is rare

Man, that sucks. I am sorry you are going through this and there isn't a better dealership closer to you. This is what makes you give up on a brand. In my younger years I had a Kia Spectra5 HB and it was a great car until the gas fuel system started having issues. Took it to the closest dealership 2 hours away. They said it was not covered under warranty because we were overfilling the gas tank and flooding the charcoal canister. Turns out this have a huge design flaw that are known for this issue. The dealership doesn't want to due warranty repair. They would make you pay out of pocket and then tell you to call the HQ and they would then back up your claim to get the HQ to reimburse you. We said F that and traded in the car for new one as I didn't want to deal with this dealership for anything.

On a side note finally got the decals put back on Maximus this weekend.

I like the name! Maximus is my grandson's name.

I just bought a 2026 Tahoe at a dealership 1.5 hours away from me, just so I didn't have to deal with this area. I should have went there for my Gladiator. This family has Gm, Ford and CDJR dealerships.

My local Jeep dealership service advisor is a joke. The service manager is actually less pleasant than the advisor.

You have a great service department.

I was hoping that was my case, waiting for a hood. It appears that I will get my hood repaired and repainted. I'm sure that I will be visiting a bodyshop in the near future after this repair.

Color match has been a problem for some customers. Hopefully, they get it right for you.

Corrosion repair completed, dealership called and said my hood was in on January 2nd. Three weeks later I went have to new hood exchanged with my old one. After 2 1/2 hours my new hood was installed including decals. Everything looks good so far.
