Installing my Clayton 2.5 Overland on my JTR and cannot get one lower shock bolt in. The passenger side was simple. Driver side outer bolt hole lines up perfect but the inner side bolt hole is lower about 1/3 the size of bolt. These are the Falcon sp3. Here’s a pic and it looks like a weird angle.

The easiest way is to put the frame on jack stands, then put a floor jack under the axle tube, one side at a time. Raise or lower the axle to line up the shock.

Thanks man. I’ve got jack stands under frame rails on both sides and wheels off. I tried playing the axle tube like you recommended without success. Although I did not move it up or down much since the instructions say to install fully extended. Should I keep the bolt in tbe one side to capture my progress so the shock will compress with the raising of tbe axle?

Use a big screwdriver to straighten everything up, makes life easier. If you can’t get it that way, try putting the lower bolt on first, then the upper bolt.

Your lower eyelet offset also needs to be turned around and facing forward per Teraflex's instructions.

Mount on the axle side also does not look squared up.

I also talked to him on the phone. His control arms and track bar are disconnected, so things are also not very lined up for that reason. I suggested putting control arms on finger tight, then track bar finger tight, then shocks, then lower and torque.

I’m learning a TON from doing this install myself in the driveway. First Jeep so a lot to learn. This forum has been a godsend for me. THANKS ALL!!!
It’s a great resource, and a place where I’ve met 7 lifelong friends, so far. And I’m not good at that. I love the social aspect of jeeping.
