I no longer clean wheels. I have a guy for that... The Mopar lift got installed this past Friday. Mt Zion Offroad did the install. They also did the mount and dynamic balance on the wheel/tire setup. Couldn't be happier with the ride quality and how straight it tracks. I did add the .75" Rough Country spacers to the front to neutralize some of the forward rake from the Mopar lift. Also had them put on a Metal Cloak adjustable front track bar since the total lift height in the front would be around 2.75" to 3.25". I tried to get flexy out behind our shop but I need a bigger rock pile now.

Next was a cargo system cheaper than the factory option but that had more fastener options. US Cargo Control was shown to me by a friend. Their 4’ rails worked perfect in the gladiator bed but I did have to drill and countersink new holes to line up with the factory locations. Also you’ll notice the linex bed liner. At the time of my order I couldn’t get the factory liner. Pictured are all the tools for the job.

The bed rail system was the only other thing I didn’t get added yet. Been thinking about adding one.

Here is the safari rack in its final edit before the trip. I can walk around on the basket and I’m 200#. Pleased with the result so far.

That looks like a pretty good option for those looking for a rack that fits over a tonneau cover - hard or soft.

So as a winter project I was thinking of trying to make a rack similar to Gobi's Brute rack. For one to showcase the tube bending our company can do. Two, it would look cool, I think. And also be useful with a bed rack system that could be used with it. Gobi's stuff is cool but I don't like how everything pivots backward. Cool idea for accessing/using your soft top but I would rather just mount my rails a little further exterior and have the soft top go through the rack like on the JK exo racks (last pic). Then I would have removable cross rails... What do you guys think???

My most recent mod was more for everyday functionality and comfort. I love the Jeep but I hate the key monstrosity. So I ordered an AJT Designs fob in matching colors to the Jeep. I though I would share the dimensional differences and a few other observations. Width is 1.480" vs 1.775", so .295" less than stock. Thickness is .695" vs .746", .051" less than stock. Length is 2.977" vs 2.959", .018" LONGER than stock. The overall dimensions are so much nicer for in the pocket. The buttons are more recessed so I don't have to worry as much about pressing buttons in my pocket when unloading items from the bed. I've set off the panic several times when unloading heavy objects and its super annoying. To me the biggest difference is not having my key flipped out all the time. I know some guys fixed that with a rubber band but I don't like that idea. My only criticism of the AJT fob is the key storage on the back and the decreased functionality of the actual key. I know not much else could have been done for storage and most people wont ever use the key. In the future I may drill a hole in the key to have it on my key ring but we'll see how much I actually need it. I've only ever used it to lock the console or glove box a few times anyway when I had the doors off. Everything considered it is a very well thought out product and seems to be of great quality. A smaller solution would be nicer but the size of the factory circuit board and battery do not allow for it. For $38 I'm happy.

Some random cool pics, a great beer and a who wore it better photo. I often tow this 12’ long box trailer for work and the Jeep does great with it.

Long time no post... Back in March I added a toolbox to my bedrack. $160 from amazon for an aluminum black powdercoated box 30"x10"x10" made by Brait. I'm impressed with the quality and its seals for the money. I keep my hitch balls and straps in it. The next pics were after a trip to Rausch Creek Offroad park and I felt like she deserved an upgrade for an excellent performance. I added the red anodized clevises from Royal Hooks that I think were $45 for the pair. Then just last night my son helped me install 10 instant horsepower with our first Badge of Honor. We did Peters Mill Run down in Virginia. Very cool trail and it would be ideal for stock Jeeps. Not hard or technical but just a good time.

Nice rack!

Did you give up on the Gobi-style rack idea?

Did you start on your project? Any updates? I ordered a Gobi Stealth rack for my JT about 11 weeks ago and still waiting, but have always loved the look of their racks and exoskeleton tubing.

I am also interested to see if you ever made out with that rack idea. I would love a cage more than a rack. Unless you incorporate it with a bed rack for my RTT.
p.s. I am right down the road from you.
