There's a section for new member introductions, but there isn't one for folks who are leaving. Lol. So, I'll just post this here.

Most of you know I recently turned my JT lease in early and got a DT EcoDiesel. It happened quickly. I'm still kind of in shock actually. The Presidents Day sale was insane and I came out pretty good.

Anyhow, from day one I was the biggest proponent of the Jeep Gladiator and I still love that truck. I love what Jeep did with that truck. And I'm sure I'll miss things about it as time moves on. I wanted to say thank you to this forum...lots of good folks here and lots of great information sharing. Most of the time, we know more about our trucks than the dealers do. The last year has been a blast here, and a blast with the Jeep. I also really appreciate the positive comments on the YouTube vids. I'm not equipped with great editing software and cameras but I tried to just throw together some stuff that might help other people shopping these trucks or modifying them. I'm glad some of you found them helpful.

I am a Jeep guy at heart, so I'm not totally going away. And since the powertrain in my new truck is the same one used in JL Wrangler and hopefully JT Gladiator later this year, I'll still be able to contribute some useful info at times I hope. I'll pop in from time to time.

Thanks again. Y'all have been great. Keep on Jeepin'

Wishing you well with your new rig! I, as have others, benefitted from your JT posts.
Just one question: What is a DT? Dodge Truck?

You turned me on to LED lighting from HR and I get to buy the same from you. They’ve even had their time in the spotlight on YouTube! I am very much appreciative :like:

Enjoy the new truck and take care!

Best of luck! In looking at your sig, I’m curious as to how the lease turn in worked with all of the extras you had installed?

Pic of the new truck attached. 2020 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 Bighorn - EcoDiesel - 3.92 gears - Level II interior package - North Edition (sort of a cross between off road package and sport appearance package) - Factory trailer brake controller - 20" wheel package

I would have left off that $1,595 wheel package because it's excessively priced, but, everything else on this truck is exactly the way I would have ordered it, and it was sitting on the lot here locally, and they had $16,100 off the sticker, so BOOM.

As far as all my JT mods... I removed everything of significant value except the 35" tires. They became part of the deal because the dealership flat out told me that "Gladiator sales are very soft. We need some way to differentiate this trade-in so we can try and sell it." I believe them...they've got several JTs sitting there not moving just like the other dealership 15 miles away does. So anyhow, I took off everything else and sold it all for cash very quickly through this forum and Facebook marketplace.

Be interesting to see what kind of mileage your getting on the truck. I know on my current ram 1500 I have the V6 and I get about 18-20 MPG in varied driving and a couple extra if I am just cruising on open highway. I am torn between getting a Jeep Truck with the V6 or waiting on the Diesel version to come out since mine will be daily driver and the extra mileage would be nice. But I have never had diesel before so no idea what I would be getting myself into. Also am assuming the Diesel will add some extra cost

I hope you'll stop back and share some of your experience and results with the new EcoDiesel. After seeing how it performs in the JTU I'm intrigued by that engine. I have 0 experience with diesel, so your matter of fact description of issues will be appreciated.
