Features of a new gladiator

Do I need a modern cel phone to access features on my new 2021 sport S ? The salesman says I need one for things like GPS. I presently have an old flip phone, probably 12 years old. Being that I'm old too and not really tech savvy I really don't know about such things but would like to be able to get driving directions thru the 7" screen.

I think the salesperson may have been referring to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. A mobile phone is not required to access the normal operating features of the JT.
