Hello everyone, it has been awhile since I have been in jeep world. I have 2023 mojave and I want fender flares with drl led lights.
But, there are so so many out there, I was hoping to get some light on the subject.
I will be installing fender liners as well.
I looked at fishbone, but it seems that the lighting may not be the greatest.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So what are you looking for specifically? Just fenders with LED lights + liners?

Plastic or Metal? There's a few options down that road that have integrated lights.

As for me, I've had 2 sets of aftermarket flares, both plastic. My first set was the Rugged Ridge LED fender chop kit, paired with Paramount/Rugged Ridge fender liners. These gut the factory flares for extra clearance and add a LED light. My flares weren't 100% compatible with this kit, but I did some slight modifications and it worked out.

A few months with this set, I decided that I wanted the dedicated kit, so I bought Rugged Ridge Max Terrain flares and did a full swap. These flares are plastic and ultra high clearance. I won't go SUPER into detail here, but I did a full write up on this thread. These are my current set and I'm very happy with them.

Rugged Ridge Max Terrain if you’re looking for new fender flares. One of the fender chop kits if you are ok with your current flares. I went with the Rugged Ridge. I used the included plastic rear liners and purchased the aluminum front liners.

JUST installed these over the weekend. I LOVE them, and they are STURDY! I wouldn't hesitate to kneel or stand on them if I had to.

Since we're on the subject of fender flares, I too have the rugged ridge max terrain flares and drl kit. I also love the look and added clearance. Here's where my issue comes in. I noticed this weekend that my driver side rear flare has a piece broken out of it. No doubt from a rock strike or something of that nature. No big deal. So I called rugged ridge to inquire about purchasing a replacement. Guess what, they don't sell single replacement flares. You have to purchase the entire set with the lights for $699 (msrp). So keep this in mind as you're making the decision on what to buy.

I had a similar experience with Rugged Ridge and the rear window on my JK ExoTop...

In a bit of haste, I tried to unzip and open the soft rear window on too cold an evening, and it cracked basically in half.

Called Rugged Ridge, figured worst case scenario, they wouldnt sell just the back, I would need to replace all 3 windows, BUT RR only sells the windows WITH a new canvas top! Had to buy the whole kit to replace the one cracked window. I am still up in the air if the windows were UV damaged or not... oh well

Yeah that's pretty bad business. It's such a shame these big companies treat customers this way. Maybe RR isn't that big but they certainly are a power house in the offroad world. How hard would it be to offer replacement parts for an item that is made of multiple components and is known to be a sacrificial breakaway point. They got our money so what do they care at this point. Probably would have been better off buying mopar Rubicon fenders. Ar least those can be purchased individually.

IMO Rugged Ridge is one of the lower quality MFGs. I dont think much of their stuff is made for the long haul. I would put them on par with Smitybilt and just slightly better than SteelHorse (anyone remember them?!?!)

I agree and am beginning to find that out as well. Too bad.

I'd do a fender chop from quaked or American adventure lab if you want to keep the DRL light. If that's not important to you I'd be looking at genright, nemesis or motobilt flares.

For me it was more about raising my fenders to rubicon height, which the RR max terrains did. I'm not unhappy with them, just the fact I can't replace them individually. Honestly, where my particular fender is broke is not a concern to me. However it is inevitable that one will get broke off on the trail. Then I'm out another $700 if I want to replace it. Maybe just do fender deletes at that point. Can't break those off!! Lol
And I very much like the Quake kits. If I had rubi fenders that's what I woulda got.

From RR's website, they say they're paint-able, they don't really have much of a texture, about on par with the bed sill trim, which I've rattle-canned with bedliner after damaging them with some different rock sliders. That's my plan for when these eventually fade.
