Fiddle Blocks, anyone use em?

Just curious to see if anyone is actually using a fiddle block.
They look like an easy way to do a 5:1 if you actually needed it. And youd need a lot of line run out. But just curious if i should add one to my recovery kit.

I don't see the point of running a 5:1. You can double up pulling power by running a pulley to the load but anything heavy enough to need a 5:1 would require you anchoring the jeep to something much heavier or stronger and then you'd likely be outside the rating of your equipment.

The only time I'd imagine needing more than one pulley is if I needed to winch myself backwards.
