I've transitioned my Overland from stock > Mopar 2" lift > Fox 2.5 Performance Elite shocks (2-3" lift) > 3" AEV HD springs. In hindsight, I should have gone with the 3.5-4" range shocks, but I admit I didn't have a concrete plan in place. Paired with those springs, I was showing about 6.5" of piston in the front at ride height, and nearly 7" in the rear. With 10.17" and 10.975" of travel respectively...that obviously wasn't ideal.

I just put on the 2" Teraflex shock extension brackets up front (rear tomorrow, it requires drilling) and that landed me at just under 5" of piston...maybe 4.75". Damn near mid-point. This could be psychological, but I swear the ride feels smoother already. Either way, will be nice to have a couple extra inches of travel.

I have Fox 2.5 Performance Elite shocks, with remove reservoirs. The SP2 3.3 could be an alternative. Either way...not the right time to replace.
I hate to see ya drill on your ride and then later go to something else just to find the drilling weakened something 🤔
