or what's the best oil as many times as they want.
HAHAHA - dumb learning from dumber is what many of those turn into.
Bring a chair and popcorn as those who go by names and marketing decide science is crap.

Crap. Just went out and did a wash and check before taking to the dealer. Got a spot starting on the edge of the hood too.

That's where most Ford and GM bubbling starts and it would seem, most Jeeps.
Near the edges.
That's a different animal. That's the aluminum right where it is formed around the hood's skeleton. Hmmmmmmmm

Year and miles?

TX - can't blame salts, can we?

Living in South Florida - there's a JL or JT at every stop light and plenty in every parking lot. I always look at hinges, hood, and tailgate for signs of corrosion. Until yesterday, I've not seen it once. I'd say that's a pretty good sign. Yesterday however I saw my first, and it was the hood hinges. It was a black JL and the hood hinges were all bubbled to hell, and quite badly. I checked out the rest of the Jeep and all was fine. Anyway, just sharing, that after lots of inspection, this is the first I've seen.
The only time I saw corrosion was on my 2018 JLUR, which was starting with the corrosion on the hood, both sides, at the edges under the Rubicon decal. This was first noticed in the fall of 2023, built April 2018, traded it January 2024. I had a 2014 F-150 with an aluminum hood for 10 years with no paint issues on the hood or any of its edges. That F-150 spent 3 Pennsylvania road salt winters with plenty of salt spray on the hood. It was my daily driver before I moved to Florida. So will my JT get it? Hope not. Time will tell.

Uh, is that a CRACK? In the paint - or the aluminum hood edge?
Either way, that MAY be the issue in your case - compromise of the paint seal.
That is exactly what I'd expect once the aluminum was allowed to see the atmosphere.

(Anodized aluminum, such as bumpers and such can be exposed for many decades with no issues - even where bolted to the steel bumper mounts)

The picture may not be the best. It's bubbling just like my tailgate, BUT, the hood was clean 6 months ago.
I'm considering waiting to see if more pops up. I still have almost 2 years left before the 5 year warranty limit.

SHoot, i could send you pictures of mine. It's on the hood just below the Rubicon sticker. Both sides.

This is how mine looks!
What sucks is, I don't buy new very often. The last was the 1993 Chevy Silverado, and it had paint issues too!

I'd likely wait a little while to see what else pops up - easier to make one trip and one color match than multiple times and tries.
That is exactly where the Jeep hood pictures I've seen out there do that - but yours honestly looks like there's a crack? Is there? Weird.
