Also I've had two aluminum F150s and one Alumiduty with zero corrosion. And none of the Aluminum fords in our work fleet have corrosion either.
It's probably less common on an F150 or F250. Seems like it's older Explorers and Mustangs that have issues.

Ford sells 2-3x the # of F150s and F250s as Jeep sells JLs and JTs. You'd hear about it more often if it was a problem with Ford trucks like it is with Jeeps.

Can someone tell me - if the five year corrosion warranty is used to fix these bubbling issues…. Is it a use one time and you’re done type of deal?

I purchased my 22 JT 10/22 so I do have time left to see what else will bubble.

Th way it was explained to me was in the first five years they will replace up to all 4 doors, hood and tailgate one time each piece. No further warranty for any piece replaced. My truck, at 4 1/2 years old goes in Monday for all 6 pieces being replaced. That is my suggestion, get whatever needs replacing done later in your warranty period at the same time to increase the likelihood of a good paint match.

I'm in sunny California and joining the club as well. Both front doors and tailgate lower edges. Hood and hinges are okay though.

Does the replacement pieces comes complete with internal components or just the shells and they swaps everything over after painted?

I was told shells, they will reuse everything they can, internals, weatherstrips , you name it. Things that can’t be reused, antenna cover for example (breaks on removal) will be replaced with new.

I wonder if Jeep still does what was done by Ford, GM, Chrysler and AMC did in the last century - before 2000...........
Replacement body parts were "seconds". Even lighting parts in some cases.
If it didn't fit right on the line, it was set aside and shipped to dealers to mess with to make holes, enlarge holes, whatever. Grills with paint off because the masking slipped while painting, body panels with holes that didn't quite line up, light assemblies with miss-drilled mounting holes and so on.
Order a body panel like a fender - you often had to spend extra time to make things fit just right - holes were off, a tab bent wrong. Can't take the time on the line to mess with it, it went into another group to be labeled and shipped out to dealers as replacement parts. The dealership then had to make it fit.

Anyway, if I ever do see the corrosion thing - after talking to the people at the dealer's collision center, and talking to someone that saw truckloads of cars and Jeeps and trucks being hauled in to that center from Cedar Rapids after the big derecho, and seeing how great a job they did on my wife's JLU windshield frame and other areas......... they must know their stuff.

I will report back after chatting with body shop after I drop truck off tomorrow morning. I did look at wrangler they had just finished when I was there having pictures taken to submit to Jeep for approval and the paint match was excellent. I did not open doors , hood or tailgate to check fit, just was concerned about color match as was Sarge Green , same as mine.

Found my first hinge that had a small chip/corrosion. I'm coming up on three years with my JT so I have some time. Almost thinking of waiting until next spring to get all fixed, and then check in again before the five year coverage ends....

Found a very small spot on the right edge of my hood today. It's either a paint defect I never noticed or the beginnings of corrosion.

Okay, life got in the way. Body shop
replaced all 4 doors, hood, tailgate and hinges. Paint match is superb, would not know it was not factory paint other than some door hinge bolts have paint scratches. I had this done at approximately 4 1/2 years of age, every thing possible was replaced and they had it for 8 working days. A brand new Buick loaner was provided. I could not be more pleased with thier work. Paint work is guaranteed for life, no further corrosion warranty. As i talked with body shop manager, they did all the things that should have been done in the first place, sealing seams and painting backside of hinges etc.. I have no doubt the corrosion problem has been solved.

My dealer's collision shop has said they've never had a return on anything they've repaired as far as this sort of "damage".

Good to hear Papa, it reinforces my thinking how thoroughly the body shop took all the anti-corrosion steps on my truck .
