Joining the club as of Friday.

I jumped on the bandwagon of 20% off MSRP on 2024s and traded in my Black 2022 Rubicon and a Red Rubicon X was how the cards landed. Never had red before but it sure does pop. The inside of my garage kind of glows now :)

That one is looking awesome. I hate painted fenders and the black helps contrast the body color! Just make it Hydro Blue and it's perfect.
Switching from Hydro blue to Firecracker red this week. The black fenders and top are absolutely necessary either color

I wish.

It had the Falken Mud Terrains from the factory. My dealer is pretty cool about giving credit on tire trade-ins from new cars if they've never seen the street. So it rolled off the delivery truck right into the service bay before I could even get a picture of it. Way easier than craigs listing it for about the same outcome.

I had the Falken Mud Terrains on my 2022 and after about 2k miles decided they weren't for me. Had always been a BFG AT guy but gave these the Mickey's a try as one of the few white wall options. Really liked them after 23k miles so I put them on the 2024. I did go up to 34 inch on the 2024. They fill out the wheel well a bit better but also don't have tire poke out the side like 35s.

Funny, I think the opposite… color matched top & fenders is a must.

I guess that’s why they have horse races.

My trade in needs tires. The dealer is buying 35x10.5x17’s for my new truck, and putting the factory 33’s on the trade in. I will start with the 35’s

Wen I got mine in 2022, the dealer had black, white, silver and red on the lot. The red looked so good, never thought I would choose red until I saw it. Wanted a Pumkin but not available in 2022. Anyways I love my Firecracker!

I wanted Gobi or maybe a slate or gun metal grey but now it’s really all about the firecracker I can’t imagine having anything else. Really seriously considering getting the OEM 3 piece bumper to put on in place if the full width Warn bumper I have now and that pic of yours is really fueling that desire. How’d you mount those two Amber fog lights?

The bumper lights were mounted using the factory bolts.

My local Dealers Salesman kept in touch with me. I originally wanted to order a Sport Gladdy to add on to, but there was this one red Rubicon that did not sell in their past 3 holiday sales events. I did not think I would like red. I called my Nephew, a mechanic who rebuilds trucks, plus my brother, to ask: "if a red truck was cool:. Both replied "of course, why wouldn't it be". I went back to that salesman, who immediately threw me the key, and asked me if I wanted to test drive it. June 2023, I fell in love. She only had 3 miles on her, too. The dealer used her in their advertisements, so I was seeing her everywhere, it seemed.
The first two pictures are from our first day together. I looked for places that had good backgrounds. Notice how the red pops in the sun. The trail photo is from two weeks ago.
I changed the hood lettering in the first month. I think the solid silver letters look better. Changed from rock rails to steps soon after because of my arthritic knees, now new knees. I like the factory rock rail look better, and wish I could find the people who make the step that attaches to the Rock Rail..
She does have some 'pinstripes', now. We go everywhere together. No major mods, yet. I like the Rubicon the way she is. When I am back to work (on medical leave, now) Ill get the proper mount and install the winch that I have, also getting a diamondback cover.
I get a lot of complements on this vehicle. My Tacoma friends even seem jealous.
I traded my 04 GMC Sierra, that came off the showroom floor, we had been together for well over 200k miles. She sold that same week, from that dealer, too. We have seen her around town. No regrets.
I did notice that I get Jeep waves back only when Red-5 is dirty. If she is shiny, no one waves back. I have experimented with this a few times.

I’ll join in here - I too took advantage of the big discounts and took the last one off the lot. Very happy with it. 😎

I did too! My salesman friend told me that they had this one Gladiator Rubicon that didn't sell in any of their holiday promotions. "No one touched it. All the other ones sold", and that I should "come down and see it as soon as I could". Also, "it would be better than anything that I wanted to order". I get there, and he just tosses me the key, saying "lets go for a ride". It had 3 miles on it. He said they have to "get rid of it or pay the taxes on it". I had already fallen in love with it.
