Yeah, i put a bunch of stuff on my JK but everything (except the boar grill, that was just cool) was functional based on a need. Front bumper to support the winch (yes, i actually use it quite a bit, rescued a Toyota FJ with it (did you know the FJ stands for Fake Jeep?)), rear bumper to get better lighting for in the woods, front lighting, better tires and wheels for the Georgia mud, side steps that did not hold that mud in place quite as bad as the stock ones, and recently upgraded the radio to an Apple Car Play version as the stock navigation system was just awful. No lift, nothing over the top for show, all functional. 107,000 miles and counting on a 2012, not letting it leave the family, going to my son
Hey, I’m all for moding your Jeep! No worries at all! In fact, to my mind, a Jeep that comes factory, stock, with a “Winch ready” bumper, and capable of 35’s with no lift or alteration to the stock vehicle, is intended to have those items... and remains stock. If alterations are made to the stock vehicle, holes drilled, suspension changes, factory parts (bumper, air intake, springs, axels, gears) changed... THAT would be considered a mod! As far as I’m concerned, if you keep the original paint, even a wrap... anything that can be undone, and returned to stock, isn’t really a modification.
By definition, a true modification, is when you permanently modify (drill, hack, cut, weld, replace) stock, factory, OEM, body, parts, frame, or engine!
My only point, is my stock JT LE, may end up being a rarity! ;{

I can't speak for everyone else....My patience just started wavering. I just need some sort of indication of where we are regarding the GC LE's. Even if it isn't true. LIE TO ME!
“Your VIN is in your inbox, your build started last week, and your delivery date is... oh... good news... it’s at your dealership waiting to be picked up!” FCA Launch Edition Concierge! ;{

SOOO, I just spoke to Barbara at the Jeep Concierge line and she said "I was just informed today that the Granite Crystal Launch Editions are to begin VIN assignment today and tomorrow and production by the end of this week". I asked about all these others stuck in D and D1 status for 20-30 days and my favorite part "ya know, there's a lot of misinformation out there on forums and other sources. They are wanting to get all these LE's completed and delivered really bad and I would always encourage you to call directly to us or your dealer for information". So basically, they do know we exist and read what we say! STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!
Hmm. bad news.

Them: "Being a late availability color, all granite LE's were scheduled last. They should begin production within the next month."

Me - "When can we expect to see VINs?"

Them - "Sometime within the next month."

Me - "That's the same thing you've said for the last 3 months, thanks." Click.
This, right here, highlights what a CF the entire Launch Edition has been. Two calls to the same number on the same morning but yet Jeep gives two completely different replies. No wonder we can't trust anything Jeep says. @JeepCares , how can this be???

For what it's worth, I called the worthless concierge line ( :headbang::headbang::headbang:), and was told basically the exact same thing @tanman was. Sometime in the next month, which is the same BS story I've heard for several months now. So I continue to have zero faith in anything coming out of Jeep's mouth.

Robotic monotone... “July 8...July 8...July 8...” chiseled in stone, cannot be altered, early delivery will upset the balance of the cosmos... ;{

Just hung up with the concierge, still c status
They wouldn't acknowledge July 8 (or any of the other production dates) mean anything.

Thought about hanging up, but decided to try and push for anything. They truly are worthless. They did mention that they had a record of each call we make to the worthless line. Think we all need to start calling multiple times a day until they pull their collective heads out of their ___ and start building these damn things.

I have two schools of thought on this:

One: We all team up and call them multiple times throughout the day on a planned day and make some noise, and it helps us.

Two: They keep track of the calls we make and rate them with a 1-5 star system. More calls with ratings 3 stars or less, equals later production date for you personally.

Each call probably pushes callers VIN to back of build! lol! I haven’t called in awhile... let’s see if I get my VIN first! ;{

You guys are giving them WAY too much credit. And I've already claimed #4190 of 4190, so I can't be pushed any further back in the build cycle (which would hint there was a START of the build cycle).

I think I found the problem. This has always bugged me from day 1. Jeep doesn't even know what the concierge role is.

noun: concierge; plural noun: concierges
  1. (especially in France) a caretaker of an apartment complex or a small hotel, typically one living on the premises.
  2. a hotel employee whose job is to assist guests by arranging tours, making theater and restaurant reservations, etc.
No wonder they don't know anything about Jeep status. They are all hotel employees that arrange tours or make reservations. They couldn't even get my original reservation right (put me on perpetual hold, never connecting to my dealer, until I hung up)...luckily my dealer was on top of it.

It's like the Sienfeld episode when he makes a reservation. It doesn't mean you are going to get it. Lol
