I have been told by a friend who works for a major parts supplier and has toured the plant, that the line doesn't come close to its production capability and has shut down several times. I don't have any reason to doubt his statement and the lack of communication from Jeep or the abundance of misinformation from Jeep would only strengthen me to believe the plant has major issues (which we all already knew). I told my wife that all I want for Christmas is my GCM LE.*IF* they start building the end of the month (which they have been saying for several months now), are they building them in one shot, or taking 2 months to build them? You can't have both. Below is an earlier analysis I had posted.
If they are really building them "in one shot", and they are making at least 250 JTs a day, they should be able to knock out ~1200 Granite LEs in a week.
If they (continue) to slow roll the build of the earliest customer paid orders, it would take ~3 months if ~5% of builds are Granite LEs. Two months to build them is completely reasonable, but definitely not "in one shot.
