Just got off my concierge call with Paige. Asked to be transferred to manager. Manager, (Susan I think) said the paint matching issue has passed the QA process (outside the production line) and that it was now scheduled for a test run through the production line. If it passes that check then full scale production will be scheduled, her hope was starting the week of 8/26. I assume that would be a big batch of the outstanding orders. First I heard that the paint matching issue was at least out of testing, so we have that going for us at least.
So maybe they will start building them in a month? They said the same thing back in May (and June, and July...), but here we are in August and they are still saying "maybe in a month" again. Sure hope this is right, but history has proven them wrong. I guess if they keep saying "in a month" eventually they will be right. If they were close to starting to build them, they would at least move us to D/D1 status and start assigning VINs.

So even if they start production on 8/26, most of us should not expect delivery until October. :( That will be over 6 months waiting on a order placed on April 4th. I REALLY hope Jeep will come up with some form of compensation for the patience their Granite Crystal Metallic Launch Edition customers have exhibited.

I think October is optimistic if they don't start until (at least) 8/26. Assuming no hiccups during build (read all the stuck in I, JB, etc. threads to see how often that happens), it's a couple of weeks to build a LE if everything goes right (including shipping out for bedliners, etc.). And they can't build 1000+ Granite LEs in a day, so those builds will be spread out over several months. Then, depending on where you are located, up to a month for transport to dealer.

Just stab me through the heart a couple more times!! Can't make it much worse :( I will be patient though.

It occurs to me (when I subdue my emotions, and analyze with my logical mind) the reason FCA is so cavalier about these deliveries, is tied to their calling it a “2020” Gladiator, (when it’s obviously being released in 2019)! I believe, in their mind, by calling it a 2020, they’ve absolved themselves of any responsibility for “hiccups or delays”, (which they fully expected), and truly believe any deliveries they make earlier than 2020, are magnanimous, and ahead of schedule! Even, in fact... ahead of their official 2020 “Launch”! (Hence their lack of concern about their Launch Edition devolving into the “Late Edition”.) It would also explain why we’ve not yet seen a national Gladiator ad campaign! ;{

Clearly the whole thing has been a massive screw up from day one and I don’t need to rehash that for others as everyone has their own personal experience. But a vehicle delivered in September, no matter the manufacturer, is considered to be the following year model (i.e. a September 2015 Grand Cherokee is a 2016 model year). So they did hedge their bets a bit and they never guaranteed a delivery date. But man have they shown a complete lack of appreciation of the expectations created, the frustration caused seeing other Gladiators on the road and at dealers and the need for better communication to a fervent and loyal customer base.

September is the first month of the LAST QUARTER of 2019. (Yes, commonly, “next year model vehicles” can be sold in September, the LAST 1/4 of the current year.) But we’re talking about vehicles purchased/ordered April 4th, the last month of FIRST QUARTER of 2019. We’re talking about vehicles being delivered to dealerships all through the SECOND quarter of 2019.
Now, I realize everything (holidays, sales, deliveries), keep getting pushed up, in this era of instant gratification... Christmas decorations going up the day after Labor Day for example... but this roll out of “2020” Gladiators is different! Maybe it’s the new paradigm... maybe they’ll roll out the 2021 JT’s in January of 2020! ;{

Hey fellow disgruntles - Here’s something you can do to pass the time. I put in 00000000000004190 as the vin and it went through then I let loose in the description. I’ve received a conformation that my information was received so give it a shot. What’s the worst that can happen, we get the same shitty response??

Still waiting also, not the LE but if my dealer can find one, I'll take it.

I finally gave up this Thursday on my Granite Crystal LE. By the time I started considering the “Delay”, the build time, the volume of trucks being made, and the delivery time, I was projecting October or later. I called the dealer and asked what we could do to get a different Rubicon. Very fortunately, the dealer had ordered a LE as well, but it black. They kindly offered me that car instead. So instead of being frustrated all weekend, I got to drive around with my new BLACK LE. What a fun truck. Upon getting home from work on Friday I spent the next 2 hours giving rides to my 4 boys, the 4 nephews and their friends around town! Very happy with my choice to bail

Well, partner, enjoy your new LE!
As for me, reckon I’ve stuck it out this long... I can stick it out till I get the JTLE I ordered!
Like my Grandad, Hoot, would have drawled (probly after spittin’ Skoal, and a long pause to squint at me thru steel eyes) expressin’ what he used to call BUCKAROO SAVVY (“Cowboy Logic” for those who don’t speak ‘Ranch-Hand’)...

Called the worthless concierge line again today. Still C status. Barbara gave the same BS paint issues story they've been feeding us for several months now. In June it was probably early July. For the last month it was "end of the month, but no guarantees". Now that we've reached the end of the month she won't even guess at a start date. If there was any plan to start these in the next month or so they'd start assigning VINs. Only conclusion we can draw is we've still got several more months of waiting until they start to build these.

@jctnt1, if you are really in D, did you get a VIN assigned and/or estimated build date?
not sure where I stand anymore. dealer GM told me last Thursday he was wrong to have led me to think i was in “D” when i was still in “C”. he said he looked at his screen and saw a white on listed above mine went to “D” and misread it thinking it was on mine.

no one answers the gladiator concierge anymore, i just get leave a msg.

This thread has kinda gone quiet. Anyone with any news? Any granites getting delivered? Could you some more pics to keep me going.

Am I the last one waiting it out?

I have been told a few times that I was scheduled for production this week. On Jeep chat again today and still D1 (since 7/22), except this time the chat representative said "I don't have an ETA for when the build will start, I don't know who told you it was this week" I said another Jeep chat representative and Jeff. We all know Jeff.
