First Granite Crystal VIN# Post Here

By the way, I’m thinking of NOT doing a lift. WildJD, you said you were staying stock which cracks me up because you may be one of the most remote folks in the Forum. Most of my driving will be local with beach driving being second and trails being third. No bouldering or Moab trips per se. Thoughts?

Great minds think alike! Cleaned out my workshop over the last month, finishing up today. First time in 5 years a could fit a full size vehicle in it. JT won’t fit in the garage, so this will be it’s home.

The changed avatar shows I’m sticking with Club Granite. Silver that came in is now spoken for. Dealer offered another swap for a red or silver LE in transit, but I may as well stick it out a few more weeks for Granite. If Jeep starts playing D/D1, I, or JB games with us I may kick myself for staying with Granite.

We have progress, window sticker generated for my GCM Sport S today! Expecting a 3 week ship time based on previous orders to my dealer. Not to be left out, my wife traded her Black 2016 Cherokee Limited for a White 2019 Wrangler Unlimited Sport on Saturday, and has already ordered many goodies for it. Luckily we don't need to clear/clean the garage, just sell my temporary cHeapy 2001 Explorer Sport that I've been driving while my Gladiator is being built.

Here's the latest Granite LE info based on inputs provided since yesterday.

A few notes from looking at this data:

• VINs consistently assigned in order of VONs.
• We are showing at least 351 Granite LEs if you look at the highest and lowest VINs.
• D/D1 and estimated build/ship dates have absolutely no correlation to VIN/VON/sequence of order placement.
• Does look like most folks are in D1 status now (with or without known ship date). Of folks reporting current status, 8 are in D1 and 2 are still in D.
• Estimated build/ship dates range from 8/30 to 9/6 (for those who have dates).

Updated with @Sean0170 & my info. I went D1 this morning with est ship date of 9/6 (+2-3 weeks to dealer).

Here's the latest Granite LE info I see based on postings in this thread. If I'm missing something, post or IM and I'll update. If you are in D1 you should have an estimated ship date when that was assigned (have to get from dealer since concierge line won't provide). Right now they are all between 8/29 and 9/6.

Informally tracking some folks updates in other threads as I stumble across them. Here's some typical recent build progress. Build contents are all over the map, so take this with a grain of salt. There is about a 11-16 day "purgatory" between D1 and E/F where there are no updates (which is where we all are right now). So for the folks that went D1 early last week (~8/12), hopefully should start seeing E+ updates the end of this week or early next, especially those who are scheduled to ship end of next week.

My dealer offered me another Silver LE that is in transit (fooled once, shame on you; fooled twice, shame on me). At this point it would only beat my Granite by a few weeks (assuming we don't get stuck along the way in production), so I don't think I'll switch. I am closely watching what's happening with folks recently getting stuck. Anxiously waiting to hear from Granite LE folks emerging with E+ statuses.

Have been offline for awhile. And have continued to have an unresponsive dealer. I had actually drafted a letter to send to the dealer and FCA tomorrow and lo and behold the dealer called today. The have a new New Car Sales Manager who was very apologetic and said he is cleaning up a lot of mess from the prior sales team. I take it with a grain of salt but he seemed genuine so will give him the benefit of the doubt.

In any event, here is my contribution

Interesting, the VIN is behind Jwise (who has a build date of the 5th) and only three digits ahead of kayakmike (who has a build date of the 6th) but I have a build date of the 4th. Perhaps they are moving faster than expected.

I have to admit that the above has all significantly reduced my stress about this whole affair. As has having given up getting it with some amount of summer left.

At least some progress. Hang in everyone. The color will be worth it. Still haven't seen one in GC in our neck of the woods (starting to be a few silver and black and a couple white but have not seen a red).

The estimated ship dates are all over the map and not in order of VINs/VONs. It does look like roughly the first 1/3 of the list has scheduled ship dates 8/29-8/31, and the rest are 9/4-9/6 (both ~3 day windows with Labor Day in between).
