Just like the Gladiator it took them forever to finally release it.
Now I get it. You bought the WK because you couldn't get a JK CRD. I bought my WK CRD for the same reason and I HATE that it's not a Wrangler. Still holding out for a JTR Ecodiesel. Not at all happy with the lack of info or the dearth of sneak peeks. Or the delay until mid 2019...

LOVE IT! When I get a :like::rock: from someone driving a lifted Rubicon you know you have a nice truck.
I had a 4th Gen until someone decided to pull out in front of me.... I hit them at 65 mph and walked away. Saved my life!
Got into a 2010 Grand Cherokee after that and since Jeep was so putzy with their ecodiesel I decided to go back to a 4Runner and haven't looked back. I'd put this up with anything out there (stock of course). I'm in need of a new pickup which is why I'm W A I T I N G for the Gladiator.
My 1994 Toyota pickup is still running great at 230,000 miles. I'll keep it forever but want a new truck. If not the Gladiator, might be the Ranger Raptor

Ha, on a somewhat related note we just bought my wife a Barcelona Red '16 Trail Premium 4Runner...now she's set while I wait on my JT. :like:

I was at the Chicago Auto Show a month ago and was checking out the 4Runner. I really like it. I always said I am buying a new JLU this summer, but now I think I am dead set on the 4Runner TRD OffRoad Premium.
I have had my JKU for 11 years and after climbing into the JL at the show it felt like I was sitting in my JK even though it has been redesigned. I was hoping it would have a different feel.
I hope the change will be good and don't have any regrets after I buy it. :please:

If your cool with the V6 in the JK/JL then you'll be fine with the 4Runner. The only thing that stopped me from getting a 4Runner or even a Tacoma is the motors. I had a FJ before my JKU and it felt even slower then my JK (and I only had 33s on it)

This time around I refuse to buy anything that can't get out of its own way. Its why the diesel is the only option for me.

What engine is in your JKU? I have a 2007 with the 3.8 and that thing is only 205 hp. And it is pretty much a turd! So my thinking is anything with 270 - 285 hp should seem like I'm driving a jet plane.

I have the newer Pentastar as mine is a 2013. Its better then the my old FJ and I know the 4Runner and the Tacoma got a slight bump in power as well, but I think the 4Runner is heavier then the JKU as well.
