Fluttering sound at acceleration

Has anyone else experienced a slight fluttering sound at acceleration? Mine has this small fluttering sound and almost sounds like it wants to get stuck Reving if I stay in it. Maybe throttle body issue?

it’s hard to get a video while I’m driving. Fluttering happens around 3k rpm’s in lower gears or if it coasting and hit the gas. Here’s a video of me coasting and hitting the gas. You can hear the sound

It’s extremely hard to hear in the video. Possibly throttle body?

Maybe exhaust leak?

At 2800-3000 rpm your engine switches to the high lift cam profile on the intake cam. It does this by activating two Variable lift solenoids in each head to shut off an oil galley that provides oil to a mechanism in the rockers. There are no diagnostics for when this solenoid malfunctions.

There have been a number of machines with that noise that have had flattened cams

Bring it to the dealer and have them check your oil filter for metal shaveings in it.

Oil analysis will detect your iron and other metal levels. If it’s abnormal, they’ll tell you. If they tell you, you have a problem to prepare for.

Does the fluttering transfer as a vibration? If so, where is it felt? Have you thought about doing a transmission oil analysis? Perhaps clutch pack or pump vibration/flutter?

I just did a oil change and didn’t see any metal shavings

No vibration . Just a slight flutter. I only heard it because I had the radio down, it’s not that noticeable, just bugs me

I am seeing ot pop up pretty consistent, in gladiator and wranglers. It is warranted if your dealer has time and is capable of diagnosing it. Most write it off because they do not believe a new engine has failed that early.

did you ever find out what this sound was? I made an account to ask I'm facing the same issue on my Jeep and this is the only thread online which has the exact same sound
