I just purchased a 2020 Launch Edition Gladiator with less than 30k miles from a dealership about three hours away. It has a few modifications; Warn winch, KC lights, and a PrimusIQ break controller. When I purchased the vehicle, I did not notice anything wrong with the fob until I got come as the vehicle would lock, but the alarm would go off randomly. The other fob does not lock or unlock the vehicle, but will allow me to start it with no issues. As I have looked at all of the wiring, it seems to be non-invasive and done correctly to the vehicle, so my assumption was the fobs need to be reprogrammed. I took the vehicle to a local dealership that told me I needed a new wiring harness and the price was $1000 to correct. I feel like I may have led them down this path with the break controller install, but the plug into the Jeep is a factory option that has not disrupted the integrity of the factory harness from what I see and have researched. Should this just be a simple programming fix on the fobs or do I have larger issues?
