Does having the post in the ”wrong thread” really cause you that much trouble in your life?

My sister has a neighbor that complained that her dog would leave footprints in his grass….you sound just like him.
Funny how you read selectively

Ford had a SUV recall due to potential fire risk in 2002 or 2003 for the Excursion and f250's. It was a switch in the master cylinder that would short out and catch on fire. The fix was option 1 if the switch was leaking, to replace the switch. Option 2 if the switch was not leaking, to install a jumper harness that was a fusible wire.

About the rest of the thread, knowledge we gain from another automotive make or model failure is a plus. For instance, Dodge, Ford and GM all used the same CP4 fuel pump for their diesels. The CP4 pump has a history of total failure and contaminating the entire fuel system.

I'm sure there are plenty of items found in common on other makes and models.
