Forward-facing Trail Cam question

Ive ordered a Gladiator with a forward-facing trail cam...can that camera be used like a dash cam, recording your daily trips to work?

It shuts off around 5 MPH or so. Has a decent field of view, but its aimed low. Its mainly for seeing things at ground-ish level in front of you. Might be a programmer or some other trick to make it do what your're asking.

I'm not sure, but there are some whiz's in here that could probably yell you

A Tazer might be able to make it stay on longer. To record would require access to the underlying operating system, and accessible media to store the video.

So true...would require dedicated storage space that is probably not available. Is the camera just a live feed, or does it record?

The Jeep factory installed cameras do not record.

I don’t know about you but I hope cameras that can record or upload data without attaching something deliberately never happens
