Just posting some pics for reference. Had the "bolt issue" and the replacement Mopar part showed up today. Overall the hardest part is definitely getting the stock steering shock off. They used a lot of red locktite!

Anyway, it's the 3rd one I've done (different Jeeps) and the difference is immediately noticeable to me. I have it started 1 click from the top/stiffest setting for now.

These days retail is good. Free shipping and in stock is better. $450. My labor is way expensive but hard to quantify!

Hey fellow Southeast Michigander!

How do you like it? Notice a big difference?

Actually I used to be SE MI, now up north 99% of time. I personally feel the difference at all speeds, but the most noticeable is at speeds 45mph and up. Especially 60-75 mph the feeling is much better.

Good to know, thanks!

Where up north? I might bug you for some good spots to hit. We go up here and there for camping/wheeling.

BTW: who knows the torque specs on the carriage bolt? I stopped when metal seemed liked it was about to move. Appreciate the help.
