Was down this road last year but forgot so here's a friendly neighborhood PSA if your 3.0 is frequently regenerating and there's no codes, time to change the air filter. Yeah I know, except for the little added filterette, it looks pristine but it will solve the problem.

I'm a little surprised the sensor parameters are so broad as to create a mixture so rich the engine is in perpetual regen without any warnings triggered, but there it is.

Is that extra pad factory or something you added?

factory. The Jeep intake is smaller and has less filter area and comes with an additional gauze like layer. The ram version are bigger and do not have this.

Nice set of claws. I bet the fish can't get out of that hold. Who does them?

I said this a few months ago, people told me it was fine. It does make a difference. With the small intake and the heat these things produce, they need all the air they can get.

Just looking at the pad and what I can see of the filter, I'd have changed it regardless.

I’m seriously considering the AEV snorkel just for the larger air intake compared to that little straw that connects to our radiator support.

That might be functional, but I'd never risk looking like if I wished I'd bought a Tacoma.

You’re right about that, and there’s no reversing the hole in the hood
