I have a 2023 Mojave, decided to take off the doors, top and enjoy the freedom on God's green Earth. Upon realizing the Mojave will not fit in my garage due to my tool box and pending thunderstorms I decided to reinstall all the above mentioned because I like dry seating surfaces lol. All went according to plan except the front doors. This occurred to both front doors and I was puzzled at first, then thought about it. This was the first time I had removed the doors on this Jeep. I had a Wrangler JLU before and totally forgot my solution. The door "pins" went into the hinge just fine but the "pin nut" would not install. I realized it was a paint issue due to a really close tolerance. I used a BFH and a little lube to get things moving and installed and removed a few times to work the "pin nuts" so I would not encounter this issue again. I hope this helps someone out there and luckily only took me 45 minutes to remember this solution.

If you are going to take your doors off a bunch, leave those bottom nuts off and add guide pins to the hinge bolts. Makes everything much simpler.

Less than $20 on amazon.

Awesome advice.... not sure how they work. You install these like the nuts and they just stay on?

you got it. I prefer only installing one pin on each door. It allows you to get one of the 2 hinges started into the mount, then just line up the second shorter one and away you go. I took those bottom nuts off the doors on mine the day I brought it home and have never put them back on.

Agree on both counts. Take the pin nuts off and leave them in the bolt tray forever. Most people never re-install them. And the pin guides do help.

Door pin guides are close to number one on my list of top 10 mods. I have long ones in each upper hinge and shorter ones in the lower hinges. This allows me to line up each door pin one at a time. I can have all my doors back on, plugged in, door check screws and trim covers replaced, soft top window and corners back on all in 15 minutes if I have to. If my hard top is on, it takes 10 minutes flat. I keep my soft top window and corners in a Mopar window bag so I have to unpack them every time.

Ironically, I usually only put one on the bottom hinge. For some reason I feel like it helps me more down there. You'll have to play around and see what works best for you. Top, bottom, or both.
