Sorry I'm new to this site and am looking for either a thread or information about the extreme terrain front driver side jack mount. I just received it yesterday but I wasn't sure if someone has installed one on their own jeep, and if so, if they experienced any difficulties. I was also curious about the time it took to install. Thank you very much for any information, it will be greatly appreciated.

Don't see any other threads online. Looks like you're the first!

Yup. I can’t say that I’ve ever seen a picture of one mounted on a JT.

Please post some pictures once you get it mounted up. I’d consider something like that for trail use (mount up the jack when I need it and leave it at home when I don’t) at some point.

I assume you're talking about lugging a HiLift jack around? If so, :lipssealed:

There are plenty of threads about the HiLift jacks use/risks, weight, usage. Generally speaking the benefits are typically less than the downsides.
Only when I go off road, not around town. Same reason I'm shopping around for an air compressor as well...hell honestly I'm shopping for everything lol. I've only had it for a few weeks so I'm open to what all can be done and any tweaks that help improve the vehicle.

It wouldn’t be a bad option for a poor man’s winch/come along, but yes…from everything I’ve read, they can be a bit hit or miss when being used as a lift.

I can’t process lugging one around on a daily driver, but I guess it completes the mall crawler look.

Compressor = yes. HiLift jack = no especially if you haven't used one or seen one used. I suggest you do some research (and spend your $ on other things first)
I have used them in the past, just haven't mounted one in front of the door before.

I keep my used and abused Hi-Lift mounted to a bed rail. It's insurance that I hope I never have to use again. It's been in 3 trucks. I figure if I don't have it. I will need t.
