Hi all,
I've got a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport with about 130,000 miles on it.
A few weeks ago I was driving in a snow storm in 4WD. I got home, disengaged 4WD and pulled straight into my garage. The next day, and since then, I've had a strange clicking noise coming from my front passenger wheel. I can hear this click/clunk noise while driving. When I jack the wheel off the ground I can still hear it clunk while rotating the wheel by hand. I checked the FAD and it seems to be operating fine. When I engage 4WD the clunking goes away completely both on ground and jacked into the air. I can only hear the clunk when the wheels are spinning in 2WD.
Any thoughts? U joint maybe?
Also, the other day my start/stop system warning light came on when driving up a hill, and my CEL came on when I stopped at the top of the hill with the following codes -
P0300
P0171
P0300
P2096
P0137
P0128
Not quite sure where to start with this but I have a feeling these codes might be due to the aux battery going bad. I still have the original aux and main battery and a friend of mines JL had some strange electrical gremlins when his aux battery started going bad. I replaced the plugs and coils about 30,000 miles ago and these codes have been very intermittent. I've cleared them and driven normally for a few days then they randomly come back on.
Happy to post videos of the noise from the wheel well but hoping to see if this is a common issue for failing batteries and thoughts on the passenger wheel noises. Thank you!
