What was your speed on the highway? Any vehicle will drop economy like a rock over 60 or so, and Jeeps are like shoving a brick through the wind. Wind resistance increases exponentially over about 60............ so if you were pushing 75-80 expect the MPG to suck.So I had my JTR for a few months now but have not pur too many miles on it. One thing I notice is I cant get more than 13 miles a galon, is this normal?
This was on a trip of about 30 miles 15 city no trafic just lights, and 15 highway.

I was doing 60 to 65, but comparing to what other are getting its way off. I just dont get why I am not getting a code or a check engine light if there is somthing that way off. What was your speed on the highway? You should be doing a lot better at those speeds. Yeah, something is amiss.I was doing 60 to 65, but comparing to what other are getting its way off. I just dont get why I am not getting a code or a check engine light if there is somthing that way off.
Wow, I'd expect he'd really know it driving on dry pavement in 4H. When I ended up on dry pavement with my F250 that thing would bind and jump and be crazy on tight turns and would tell me in no uncertain terms it didn't like it.Are you driving in 4 High? This is the milage I get in the winter in 4 high full time maybe the transfer case has not disengaged your 4 high... I get 17.2 in 2 WD with 33" tires in town 21-22 Hwy

I would agree 110% but you never know unless you ask....So my Mom told me....Wow, I'd expect he'd really know it driving on dry pavement in 4H. This should be the exact same way because, well, it's the same setup - front and rear drive shafts are together in 4H, there's no differential between them. It should shudder on turns and trying to park.
She must be pretty smart........... (and got that way by asking questions, perhaps?)I would agree 110% but you never know unless you ask....So my Mom told me....
