I'm with LouisVEarlJT why not just use the spare you have. Sure the Jeep will look funny and pull to the side having a smaller wheel but it will get you home. Unless there is something I don't understand it's just like driving on a donut spare on a car. If I'm wrong please comment as I intend to use the existing 33" spare as a spare for 37" tires.

If you have a LSD diff. You DO NOT want to run 2 different size tires on that axle. It's bad for the LSD plates. If you must have a different size spare. And you get a flat in the rear. Move a front tire t to there and put the spare in that front spot.

If you have lockers. DO NOT engage the lockers on that axle that had the flat. If you do engage the lockers. It will bind up.

It's always good to have a back up plan. Thank you for your patronage.
I love my local Discount Tire. I have been purchasing tires/wheels from them for 10+ years for at least 7 vehicles. I have now added my 2020 Gladiator to the list. It is their customer service that keeps me coming back. Add to it that they will price match wheels and tires makes it a no brainer. The previous owner used Discount Tire as well for the current wheels, which I was happy to know.

Just speaking for myself and my reasons for buying a full sized spare. I am about to have several long road trips coming up in the next couple of months. I do not want to be 300 miles from home with a flat and a 32 to 33 inch tire riding along with 3 37 inch tires. I have found out that a 37 inch tire is not always readily available in certain parts of the country I visit. Peace of mind is huge for me. I am fine with the cost of a full sized spare over possible high cost repairs down the road or being stranded with a lengthy tow.

I have had the Jeep for a month now and will start making several long road trips. I am in the "Need a full sized spare club" and very happy that it will fit underneath the truck bed.

I want a full functioning spare by the cheapest set up possible. It does not need to be a matching rim or even tire. I am looking at going to a 37 x 12.5 spare. It is the cheapest 37 size I can find. Will it be okay to mount it factory spare rim. I believe it is 17x7.5, or do I need to pickup a cheap 17 x 9 rim with some sort of backspacing so the spare can be used without wheel spacers, etc. I will only use the spare to get me home and then to the tire shop. If I go with the matching rim/tire combo, it will put me over $1000.00 for the spare. If I go with a cheaper tire and rim , it should be around $550.00 or so. I want a spare that can be put on the front or rear if possible. If not, I can move the good tires around to accommodate.
Check your local Facebook ads. I run Xcomp 37x13.5r17s on my Mohave, but wasn't sure if they would fit, so I went to Facebook and found a BFG KM3 37x12.5r17 brand new for $200 and its alot smaller and fits under truck in spare tire location

Thanks. I did that and there were not any in decent shape for sale locally. I went with the new one from Discount tire and it was $293.00 and my first trip out of town is next week so I moved ahead.

i have 37x12.5x17 Falken AT3W on stock steel wheel, if anything were to happen i would just mount it on the front axle, was thinking about getting a cheap wheel with similiar specs to my Fuel wheels but never did

Do you by chance know the height of that on the stock steel spare rim? I'm running General Grabber 37x12.5x17 and when various sites are saying they are 36.8 which should match your Falkens. I'd like to get an exact match but will take something that will get me to a tire shop for repair or replacement.

Stopped by DIscount Tire on the way home and bought a spare tire/wheel combo. I went with the 37 x 12.5 x 17 on a rim that has the proper off set to use as a funcitonal spare on the road. I hope I will never need it, but at least I have it. I will find out if it fits underneath the bed once received. The technician was not sure if it would or not, but is leaning on not.
I will give you a 90% chance it will not fit if you have factory track bar. I went with the Metalcloak rear track bar that gives you clearance for a 38" tire. I have a 37x12.5X17 Toyo Open Country RT's that are spec'd at 36.8. I still had to "massage" the factory heat shield to get it to fit like it was made to from the factory.

This is what I am thinking as well. The measurements with the factory track bar just do not add up. I have no issue with airing down the spare tire to get it to fit. I will probably need to carry it in the bed of the truck until I can upgrade the track bar. I am not sure how so many people are getting a 37 inch tire to fit with a factory track bar, but they are.

When I switched from my Milestar 37" to 38" I kept one of the best tires and mounted it to a procomp steel wheel (17x9) and it squeezed in and clears the track bar barely but it works. Just will not engage the lockers if being used.

Feeling a bit like total jerk as this is the 2nd time I'm diverting the thread (giving myself credit for not a total hijack lol).

A few folks have called out that there can be a pretty decent size difference between 37"s with some 37"s fitting with the stock track bar. I'd like to go this option as I got the MOPAR extended warranty w lift option and would like to have fewer mods to potentially have to argue about down the road.

Since I'm going for 4 tire rotation and basically looking for something that can keep me on the road until I get my Grabber's repaired or replaced anyone have thoughts how much of a size difference would be acceptable for on-road. Absolute worse case scenario I can envision is having pulling a loaded car trailer for a maybe 70 miles till I get to a proper tire shop.

I run Black wheels with 37x13.5R17 Yokos. When it was time for new tires, I found a single black wheel (different style) on marketplace for $50. I even had a TPMS installed.

I am in the same situation. I did purchase an extended warranty that covers the lifted jeep up to 6 or 8 inches. I always stress over what future changes the dealership/Jeep will say voids the warranty.

Just picked up a Atturo Trail Blade XT 37" spare and it fits on the stock steel spare. I'd actually not heard much about the brand but it seems like a fairly decent tire for the price point (aesthetically the tread looks pretty sweet)

Ended up at $300 mounted.
