GA,SC and NC Road trip

I’m taking a road trip hopefully starting Monday the 26th returning the 2nd. Savannah, Charleston, Charlotte, Asheville.

Looking for scenic places, roads or parks. I’m traveling with my wife so no crazy trails as we will be solo.
Any recommendations?
Any trail rides in these areas of the holidays?

I'm late to the party, but if you're back in the area, I've heard good things about the Gulches off road park (https://www.gulchesorvpark.com/) and Gorges State Park (https://www.ncparks.gov/state-parks/gorges-state-park). I haven't been to either yet, but hopefully that will change soon.

Tread lightly out there. I heard the residents are becoming increasingly hostile towards Jeep drivers and putting nails in the deep ruts that stay muddy.
