Added a few items over the past few months, and just got back from a 3 week trip in Utah & Colorado. We put on a little over 6,500 miles in that time, and the truck never skipped a beat.

Any drilling with the tire carrier? Looks sweet! This seems like the best option on the market besides a swing out right now.

Yes, you need to drill two holes into the floor of the bed.

Th

The tire doesn’t fit with the RTT correct?
Correct, I just un mounted the tire and laid it in the bed when the tent was on.

I will note, it would have fit if the tent was moved so the ladder came out the back. I just didn't have the correct rails to do so.

Our other vehicle is a Gobi '18 Jeep Wrangler (JKU) with a bunch of AEV goods
Was wondering what your JKU build was and how you think it compares to your awesome JT build.

I have a 2010 JKUR with 37s + AEV 4.5" and am looking to get a JT sooner than later.

Thanks!

I have to say that if I ever put a RTT on I am definitely keeping it low key like you did. Keeps the center of gravity lower, looks waaay better and I just don’t think you lose enough storage capabilities to justiy jacking it way up in the air.

Nice build by the way.

My JK is a 2018 Sahara. AEV 3.5" lift, AEV Salta's with 35x12.5 BFG AT's. Mopar steel bumpers, and some basic steering upgrades. I still really like the JK, but the JT is nicer in almost every way haha.

For sure, I prefer the look of the lower rack. Even with the spare tire taking up half of the bed we were able to pack enough for my family of 4 for a week road trip before picking up our camper.

Does the rear tire carrier interfere with the trail rail ?
