General lift question

Not related to which lift is best, can I get away with a cheap one, do I really need one to fit 40s or any other of the usual questions.

For those of you that are higher than stock height, how do you keep the back of your pant legs from getting dirty? Serious question as I drive mine every day (not lifted, yet) and whenever I get out at work, I hAve to be careful not to get dirt and whatever all over the back of pants.

Jump out, or use side steps.

Wear shorts, then the back of your pants won't get dirty.

If you get rock rails, sliders, steps, or running boards, you can can step up and out away from the JT.

Yup, steps is the key. Even without a lift I would catch the back of JT pants if I wasn’t being careful. Now with a lift and steps (ace engineering sliders) it feels natural using the step to get in and out.

Have a lift and steps. As already said, get some steps or jump out. I put steps on for wife and kids. I don’t use them so much as I step out around them.

5'-10", so I get out easy enough. And most of the time it's not an issue. But with the snow and slush, gotta be careful at work.

Surprised I didn't see the "If you keep it clean / wash it" answer. But then, this is the JT forum, not the Mustang forum ?

I have a Golden Retarded, so there is ALWAYS a dog towel in the JT. If need be you could use an old towel, drape it over the side before you get out, then toss it in.
