What an amazing trip this was. Wifey even liked it and she's no camper. Took all of 30 seconds before we saw our first horses upon entering the campground. Then after setting everything up a family stopped by to check everything out, made sure we didn't have any food out as they smelt everything and moved on.

I'm going to have to put this on my must visit list.

Tent is Overland Vehicle Systems Nomatic 3. A little larger than a queen sized mattress.

My wife and I keep talking about doing this same trip. It’s not too far of a trip for us either since we live in Virginia Beach

To me that's a no-brainer. We drove 5 and a half hours. Another option if your wife doesn't like camping is you can stay in Ocean City and take a 15 minute ride to Assateague and buy a day pass. My friends do this.

There you go, plan a trip there. It was so cool, the horses are everywhere. I sold the RTT and purchased a camper.
