A fiberglass mold made from this prototype would be a game changer. Gel coat and spray in the fiberglass and you have a shell in a couple days. Still have to build the rest of it, but that would cut the labor down to a fraction.

So roughly speaking about 150 hours into the remaining components? Plus paint and body?

Rough estimate and this is coming in well under the cost of many premium camper slide ins in a much more custom and spacious layout. Great work! ?

No work on the camper this weekend. Fixing up the cabin and playing on the river. Surprised my Gladiator could handle the 1,000 lb. of concrete blocks I hauled. Those Hi-Lift Jacks aren't just for your Jeep!

I don't know if I'm up for the challenge, but wouldn't this be a nice interior for my Gladiator.

I think it would be with the exception of the high cabinet on the passenger side I’d put it on the driver side so it doesn’t obstruct your view. I really like the sliding table in the middle, not sure if the drawers will be very functional because I don’t think you’d be able to open them very much unless you are lying on the bench

The slide in table is pretty nice, and it is also a fill panel for the lower bed. Good idea to put the fridge/cabinet on the driver side. I'm 50/50 on whether to do drawers (lots of work and heavy) or stick with open shelfs like the idea above.

The trouble with open storage is how to keep things inside. I’ve found that drawers are great you pull them out and can get to everything inside, yes they are heavy what I’ve done is build them out of aluminum and instead of using slide guides I use polyurethane for sliders I mount them on the bottom of the shelf at only 1/16” thick they don’t add any weight and pull easily

Or maybe shelves and bags. These Front Runner bags are nice.

I like the bags but I’d rather have a drawer to pull out and slide back in. Thinking that the bags might be just a little hassle to push back in

There's so many options to fit out the inside. Whatever I use, it needs to be easily removable, since I want to use my truck bed occasionally, or go topless. That's the fun of the Gladiator, it's the Swiss Arm Knife, of vehicles.

Aluminum Tubing benches with boxes or bags looks like an easily removable option.

I think the benches or shelves with light weight totes held in place by a lip on shelve, when at camp leave lids off and sort of use as a drawer. No matter what you do be a weight weenie, even heavy duty totes add a lot of weight, and keep the heavy stuff low. Again you are researching ,asking for ideas, and I am waiting for you to knock it outta the park!…..Jack

Or we could use plastic totes as benches. I use these as benches when camping and can roll them right in the condo when skiing as luggage.

I just had a thought. Might be cheesy, but light weight and practically free if you find used ones. Or buy new. I’m surprised I’ve never seen this in a build.

Very practical, light and cheap. Reminds me of my college furniture. I loved milk crates.

Going through the same process right now. Trying to figure out where stuff is going to fit. Trying to build it before camper is here in 8 months. 80/20 and shelves or drawers or cube packets. Step 22 or front runner all seem like good options. It all just has to be positioned correctly to be useful and functional. Uggg

Good luck! The options are endless. I would love to see more interiors from you Overlanders!
