I've seen similar on multiple jeep forums. The best ones follow a pattern and I'd like this to be the best Gladiator forum. One of the reasons this is the only place I keep a build thread is to guide people here when they ask questions online. Quality content builds a quality community.Good to see someone taking on management of the forum threads, organization and agree that multiple threads sometimes confuse or muddy true issues. (HVAC..........)
My partner and I who started our forum over 12 years ago brought in a team of even-handed moderators who help clean things up - DELETE old wanted or for sale threads after xx days, merge multiple threads that cover the exact same topic, have a place for links to the posts that answer specific questions, and we have a "how to" area....... someone comes up with a way to resolve an issue, and if that way is deemed "THE" answer, then it gets to be a sticky (window auto-up comes to mind - so it doesn't get lost)
We have a former marine and border guard, Lutheran minister, school teacher, telecom tech guy as the mods and Ian and I were able to step back and relax. The mods created rules, stickies, do clean-up and it's become mostly self-policing. Two other similar forums blew themselves apart after we started - so we had some ticked off people joining and giving us crap at first, but that settled down, they blamed us. Hey, we just operated better and were more friendly to ALL - beginners, hard-core racers, whatever.
I know we have butted heads occasionally and I'd like to let you know that wont happen going forward. If we have to have a disagreement we can keep it to PMs so the rest of the forum isn't drug into it.

before but it's clear that in this social media world we live in people need to have their complaints heard.
