We help sellers get multiple offer for their car in as little as one business day.
Oh, definitely no need for that, your Canon will likely do just fine. Better to spend that money on a faster prime lens (like f/1.8) if you don’t have one. That will help a lot more than switching brands. DM me if you want to get into more details
Sweet! The lens I have is a 16mm 1:1.4, but now I've got an eye on a 1.8. Thanks for the advice (and saving me money lol)

Ah! You're good to go then. f/1.4 is even better than f/1.8, and the wide angle view of 16mm will work well for this kind of shot (mine was 24mm on full-frame, so about the same as 16mm on APS-C). All you need is the tripod and dark sky then. Depending on the details of your camera's sensor, you might try anywhere between 4 and 15 seconds, ISO 1600-6400 and see what you get. See if there's a manual focus mode that automatically zooms in on a small patch of sky on the rear screen, and use that to get fine focus on the stars. Then don't touch the focus after that, even if you move the camera around for different angles.

On top of Grey Mesa, with Navajo Mountain in the background.

Was alot of fun. Would not recommend a stock Willys try it but miracles do happen. I just need to touch up the underside a bit.
You did great. Not far ahead of you for mods, I just did it with a manual transmission with Sport S gearing O.o Rattle can is ready for tomorrow to touch up all the underside scrapes.

Is that what’s left of the JL on the right? ?

That one is still on my bucket list. How was the big drop off and climb back out?
BIG. Lots of rock stacking and winching. Big.

Is this it here?
IMG_5809.jpeg
No. It’s a steep ledge. The height is about tue same as the length of a JT. It’s not s problem getting down, but it’s rutted and sandy at the bottom so there’s no traction, and the front wheels are light at that angle, so even with lockers, it took s while to get one up and then the rest winched off of that one.
Anyone else that was there have a good picture of that ledge? The one we struggled on Sunday night?

I have a few pictures of it. There were much less rocks there on the trip back than when we went over it.
