It's just more stressful to be honest -- but we've run everything in Moab outside of Pritchett which we'll be running this upcoming EJS. I prefer my 4 door though, and my stretched JK even more. For trails anyway. Now for easy stuff where you can just haul/camping/etc, Gladiator all the way. But as you said, surprising how capable they are.
Yep. For 90% of my off-roading the Gladiator kills it. That stressful 10%, my TJ gets the nod. Problem solved.

We are definitely biased. I’ve off-roaded with a ZR2 for a little while at Rausch Creek -greens and blues when I was stock. The ZR2 went 90% of the places I went and made it through ok. It really had some trouble when big articulation areas with rocks and washouts with alternating tires in the air and really Working lockers when i was unlocked and all 4 tires on the ground. On the washboard sections the ZR2 ran away from me. I couldn’t comfortably go as fast.
I had the top open and half doors on too - not an option in a ZR2.

Yep that makes sense. Gladiator isn’t very dampened especially with the diesel. I’ve got Fox 3.0 bypass shocks and air bumps now and can go fast as I want through most trails. But boy we’re they expensive lol.

@LostAndStranded I've taken my JT on all of these trails/obstacles as well... and mine doesn't even have lockers

It handles stuff great
