I want to get a Gladiator Rubicon Diesel to tow my boat to the lake. There are lots of them at the dealer in current inventory; however none of them have the tow package. I know on the 3.6L equipped gladiators the towing package gets you the larger alternator and higher wattage cooling fan along with the class IV hitch. Is this the same for the diesel Rubicon models or does the diesel package already have those things? The dealer says I can just add a class IV hitch and it’ll be the same After adding the trailer hitch cam view. Does anyone know this for sure? What does the trailer-tow package add to the diesel rubicon?

I don't know the differences on the diesel version. I do know that if I was planning to tow, I would not buy unless it came equipped with the factory Tow Package. If it was truly the same, with or without, they either wouldn't offer a Tow Package or they would all come with it.

Eco tow package definently includes large alternator.

Don't settle or fall for the salesman's bs.....wait for the right truck.
