Looks like this is inline with their plan of huge increases and then offer periodic incentives to drive sales. Unfortunately people are still overpaying even after these discounts are applied. What's worse is that people are overextending themselves trying to afford these vehicles. I'm old school and say if you aren't able to pay cash then you can't afford it. But I'm sensing a wave of repo's coming.
This. I have received Mojave quotes from mid-50's to almost 70k. Just crazy when you consider how long they have been sitting on the lot.

Ridgeline was near the top of my list for a while. But, my father-in-law has a current-gen one, and the few times I've driven it I cannot get comfortable in the driver's seat. It doesn't back up enough.

Oh and the infotainment is unacceptably bad.
Yes, the archaic infotainment is one of the low points of the Ridgeline that will be addressed on the next gen.

I want to replace my Sport S with a Mojave and I have to jump up to $65K-70K to do so (here in SoCal).

Sales slump? Price.

It doesn't matter matter who owns jeeps or what their ideology is. Jeeps are not good for the environment, even if it can go 50 miles without gasoline. There are much better earth friendly vehicles out there, for significantly less money. Jeeps are not practical for most US drivers but US drivers for half a century have said "fuck practicality" and that is why it sells today, because even if you are a hypocrite owner that believes fossil fuels are destroying the planet, you still want what you want.

You should at least think about suburu, which has excellent awd systems and gets better gas mileage. If you really cared about the environment you wouldn't own a wrangler or gladiator in my opinion.
Subaru? Did you fall and hit your head? Earth friendly? You live in Ohio and own a Gladiator, please do us all a favor, sell the Gladiator and get off this site and please try to find the Awareness that you live in Ohio were Jeeps are built to support your neighbors in you environment. If you can’t, please relocate back to Gunma or Ota Japan, I know know the folks in Lafayette Indiana won’t look forward to having with your head injury. Earth friendly…OMG you can’t even spell Subaru.

My point went completely over your head which is, if you're so concerned about climate change and transitioning to EV than you probably shouldn't be driving a jl/jt.

I know your angle, but suggesting that driving a Subaru is better for the environment than driving a Jeep is like saying drinking Sprite at 140 calories is healthier than drinking a Coke at 150 calories.

Subaru uses its environmental friendliness as a marketing ploy. Subaru Loves the Earth. They partner with other businesses to push this persona. To say they're actually moving the needle towards environmental utopia is a far stretch.

So we know ICEs burn a finite resource of fossil fuels and are by nature terrible for the environment. Enter EVs. Until solar and wind power, esp solar power, is better utilized, we need to burn material, such as coal, or generate nuclear energy, to create the power needed for EV propulsion. The problem is we're not even close to having a "clean" solution for sustainable EV propulsion.

Please don't read this as an aggressive retort, but read it as a head nod in that what we're currently doing is terrible for the environment, but there's no good replacement solution - contrary to what is being said in the media and from uneducated politicians' / lobbyists' / celebrities' mouths.
