Gladiator stuck at dealership for 75 days

I took my gladiator to Bravo Jeep in Alhambra, CA. I have a manual gladiator, while in second gear at low speeds, below 10mph and especially under load like turning or going up or down a hill, it would pop out of 2nd gear. At first it would happen maybe once every 2 months for the last year, however because it was so random and I could never replicate it, the dealership said everything was normal. But about 4 months ago it’s started happening every time I drove the jeep, it pops out of second gear. My jeep has 28k miles, it’s still under powertrain warranty.

I have called bravo Jeep every week for the last 75 days, thats how long the Jeep has been at the dealership. I was told 30 days ago that the transmission was going to be rebuilt at the dealership, and 10 days ago was told that Jeep now wants the manual transmission to be replaced, that a new manual transmission had been ordered and was already on the way, and that everything will be covered under warranty. But now i can no longer get anyone on the phone. I leave messages with the person who answers the phone, and they promise someone will call me in 10 minutes and no one ever calls me back.

At this point I’m not sure what to do. And this situation has become frustrating. No rental car, I haven’t had the jeep all summer. Missed all my trips planned for the summer. Missed my rubicon trip, will probably miss my Utah trip I had planned for the end of the month.

Jeepcares if you are out there, would appreciate some help.

This day and age if a dealership orders a transmission it should arrive within two to three days…… UNLESS it’s on a back order status. Then the dealership should be able to issue it as a priority ā€œ car downā€ but that only means it’ll be one of the first to show up when Jeep ( or the manufacturer) releases them. If they haven’t told you that they are on back order then I would be questioning what is going on!

I have showed up to dealership, they are nice enough but kind of give me the run around. It’s also frustrating to know more about the gladiator than the service advisors. For the initial 40 days I asked question like, is it the snychros? Is it the shift linkage? Dealership put in the recall clutch, I asked if it may have something to do with that. I was stared at with a blank face. I am on my third service advisor as the 2 previous ones quit or were fired, never got a straight answer on that.

I could just show up with a tow truck tomorrow, but I’m not sure it’s the right move. I 100% qualify for lemon law at this point 76 days in to be exact. And here in CA it’s a fairly easy process. But I actually love my jeep, and I don’t want to get rid of it.

It’s also technically my 3rd truck, I have 2 for work. So that’s why I never pressed too hard for a rental because it’s not a priority. But it is inconvenient to drive around an f550 and my Silverado is a single cab so getting the kids around sucks

The dealership has said that it’s a priority star case, and that whoever needs to be involved is involved… regional experts and wizards… I’m a skeptical person by nature so when people give me too much information contradictory to what the actual experience has been it’s hard for me to believe them. And now them not returning my calls is just frustrating. I’ve called Jeep customer care, everyone says they are looking into it and something will be done, they are ā€œright on itā€ but it’s been 76 days now.

Actually no lol, I just want my truck back. what pisses me off is not getting honest answers. And missing my trips, but it makes me bummed out more than anything

With all the lack of bandwidth these dealers have and how they are lobbying to force us to use dealerships for maintenance and repairs, etc. You would think they have real experts and dedicated shops they can sub these types of repairs too. What can it be ? Stupid software and/or manual Transmission system and clutch related issues. Awful smh, Over 75 days is unaccepted and does damage to the brand's reputation.

One of those Toyota cult youtuber members hears about this and proceeds to make a AI video about how unreliable Jeep is blah blah. Dealers and car makers need to do much much better then this.
