Hi All...Just need to vent and also ask whether or not anyone else has had these issues.

I purchased a new gladiator sport on 5/6. On 5/10 the jeep stalled at a stop sign completely. I restarted it and it got a battery signal error and the auto/stop/start code came on along with a message that read "Stop safely vehicle will shut off soon. Shortly after the truck shut down completely while driving. All of the systems stopped working abs, steering, etc and the vehicle cruised to a stop. At this time I could not get any power to even put the windows up. The console was going crazy making noises and the wipers were going on and off but nothing worked. Had to have it towed to the dealer. They said it was the aux battery and a fuse, they replaced it and said it was good as new. Got it back on 5/12 and as of 5/16 started having issues again. It wasn't starting on the first attempt. Took two attempts to get it running, then later in the day on the 16th it took 10 attempts to get it running. On 5/17 it stalled again at a stop sign. Once i got it restarted I disabled the start/stop function and was able to drive it home from a weekend trip. Once home I ran out and again it stalled at a traffic light and took me 5-6 attempts to restart. This morning wouldn't start at all, had to have it towed back to the dealership. The tow guy was able to get it to start when he put it in neutral manually in order to move it out of my driveway to get it on the truck bed. In addition to these issues the truck bucked a few times over the weekend when driving. This is a brand new truck. The dealership is saying maybe the PDC needs to be replaced? I called the manufacturer to document these issues. I am concerned the truck is a lemon. If anyone has any suggestions or has had any similar experiences I would really appreciate feedback. Thanks!

Same issue here with the same error messages/symptoms. My Gladiator died on me as I was at a stop light. I had it towed to my local dealer and they mentioned the Aux battery was not charging properly and was told they may have to replace the PDC as well. Iā€™ve seen this issue brought up a few times on the JL forums but didnā€™t see a specific fix mentioned.

Hopefully they have a resolution for us!

Wow sounds like my old Passat when the PCV went foul (happened at 40k and 90k then the engine popped at 100,800). Hope they figure it out soon. I am waiting for these bugs to be fixed prior to purchasing.

Smart decision... I wish that I had waited to buy now.

I purchased on Saturday, 6/6 and only have 120 miles on my Gladiator but am already starting to have issues.

My soft top ripped open while driving on the interstate yesterday. This happened 7 times on my 40 mile commute to/from work. I nearly wrecked trying to close the top back while steering with my knees.

My soft top is extremely easy to open and I assumed that it was because of a redesign... not because it doesn't have enough tension on the windshield channel to seal properly.

I started a thread to see if anyone else has experienced something similar.

Good luck to the 2 owners experiencing mechanical problems. Hopefully everything can be resolved quickly.
