Gobi Gladiator with Desert Khaki Armorlite. Is there such a thing as too much tan?

This is awesome! I love it. I just bookmarked it so I can buy them for my Gladiator.

Does anyone know you will be able to install Epic Adventure Outfitter's Kraken inflation system? It mounts the ARB dual air compressor under the passenger seat.

In the install video for these I noticed there's a raised hump portion that looks like it's under the passenger seat. Not sure if this will interfere with the Kraken system.

It basically has a bracket that goes in between the passenger seat bolts to mount the compressor and there's a small bracket on the driver's side which has an air outlet on it for the driver's side tires.

Anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about full install video is here:

Anyone who has the ArmorLite floors should be able to tell me if it will fit based on this install video.

Armorlite is thicker than carpet, but not that much. And in theory any thickness difference will lift the seat by the same amount it lifts the compressor. You're probably going to want to find a different location to thread the wire through than the drain hole as well.

It's hard to imagine all the different nuances based just on watching a video, but that's my take on it. It wouldn't surprise me if the armorlite needed some minor modifications to make it fit when all is said and done. Which would suck because armorlite is very explicit about voiding their warranty based on modifications like cutting. But then again, it's not a product I would imagine is likely to be subject to warranty claims.

I was more concerned that it looked like the ArmorLite is a different shape than the carpet.. Perhaps I was wrong. I haven't taken my seats out so I'm not that familiar with what it looks like under there.

I'm not too concerned about the ArmorLite raising the seat. Since you bring it up, it's a slight concern that I've had since I saw you put the brackets under the seat bolts, since they're raising up the front of the passenger seat and driver's left seat but the brackets are like 1mm or something in thickness I doubt it's really an issue.

The Jeep itself sits a bit crooked due to slight differences in weight, eg. the gas tank makes the passenger side slightly heavier and thus the suspension sits a little lower on the passenger side but it's not visibly noticeable.

I'm probably going to find a different place to route the wiring even before I get the ArmorLite (I already have the ARB A/C and Kraken) coz even if I don't get the ArmorLite I think at one point maybe I might want to use the drain plugs.

I would wait until I get the ArmorLite to install the Kraken but I have to wait a couple of months and I'm gonna be going to visit my cousins at the beach soon and may be driving the truck out onto the beach.

That looks GREAT! Definitely adding the Armorlite to the list!
Question - How does it feel to bare feet? We love to go barefoot in the our cars - especially after the beach, etc. and just curious... Is it like LineX feeling?

Speaking of which, I came really close to doing my Line-X in the Desert Sand color too, but thought that would be a bit OD since so much of the exterior is Gobi. I think inside, it works since everything is black/grey.

Did you have any issues with installation? I’m finding the trim is hard to clip back in due to the thickness of the material.

I had it installed professionally. I can imagine the thickness of the material would make it difficult to work with, but it's also the thing that makes it more comfortable than oem leather. between that and the customization options, i think it's worth it.
