Picked up a brand new gladiator off the lot back in February of this year, 02/10/2021. Gobi exterior with steel grey interior. Pretty much fully optioned except the LED lighting group. Starting this thread to keep progress updates as it’s my first ever Jeep build! Attached are pics from day 1 of ownership:

Lighting update:

Installed Oculus LED headlights along with RC 50” black series light bar paired with a Go Rhino Mojave A-Pillar mount. This mount fits Mojave editions as it only utilizes the two bottom side panel holes instead of the additional two top holes. Solid mount so far.

Also threw in the MLC-6 lighting controller from RC to make wiring up other lights/accessories much easier. Mounted the switch pod down towards the driver seat instead of up on top of dash for now to see how I like it. Will probably switch to dash top once I get time.

Last install was RB20 boards/sliders from Go Rhino as well for easier in/out accessibility.

Yeah, was originally wanting to mount it on top of the dash where it is supposed to go, but didn’t get how to fish the wires through the dash/behind the touchscreen. I removed the screen and bezel panels as instructed but don’t see how to run the wires behind the screen and up through the dash due to where the air vents are. Instead I routed the wires through the firewall cap how RC recommends, which comes out through the footwell area on the drivers side. Then I just tucked the wires behind/underneath the edge of my floor mat and up under the drives seat. I mounted the switch pod to the side of the center area with a piece of 3M tape and 2 tiny screws I drilled in. Easy access and still enough leg room. It works, but would eventually like to mount it up top when I get a full day to really look at how to route the wires. Pics of the firewall cap attached. Wrapped the edges of the cap with electrical tape just to make sure no debris/water can pass through.

Threw on 35s last weekend. 35x12.5x17 nitto ridge grapplers with a set of fuel zephyrs. Was debating between those and black rhinos, but glad I went with these. Loving the look and feel so far. No lift and don’t plan on it. Selling the oem black takeoffs over in the marketplace forum if anyone is interested.

What is the back space and/or offset of your Fuel Zephyer wheels I'm guessing you went with 9's.

Looks very nice! I plan to do the same thing to my Rubicon JTD when she arrives. BFG 37x12.50R17, with Black Rhino's, and -32. However, I'm told to go with at least the Mopar 2 inch lift kit (which measures out at an actual 2.5 inch of lift), or even the 4 inch Mopar lift. Otherwise, 37 inch tires will rub when off-road, at least on any 'significant' bumps/rocks/holes, etc. whereas no lift on 37's is OK, but strictly for cruising around town. Do you plan on any significant off-roading, say beyond USFS groomed roads?
