I really do too

I was out night wheeling with a JKR 2 door, a built 4th Gen 4Runner, and a built Xterra last night and the JT really makes everything easier. Obviously both Jeeps worked better on a couple things due to solid axles (and 37s I guess ? ) but the long wheelbase of the Gladiator makes things so easy that the 2 door looked liek it was getting bounced around on

Obviously the long wheelbase can be a hindrance as well but its trade offs

If I gave 3 sheets about what other people thought about my gladiator I’d go crazy. I like it and that’s all that matters. Never been in a situation it wasn’t useful other than a downpour. It ain’t sugar so it won’t melt but sure is sweet!

I'm with the OP here!

Went wheeling at a new local park, its not huge, but big enough to go out for a couple hours and have fun. Everything from mud, things to climb over and a nice 3/4+ mile outer dirt track. Was running hot laps in the Majave chasing my buddy in his Raptor.

Perfect Daily with the top down or going to Lowes to get supplies ...it does it alls

What can the mojave tow and whats the weight of that camper? In the market for a camper myself and I have a Sport S non max tow rated for 6,000 pounds.

If you have the regular towing package, I'd keep the towed vehicle down to single axle units that are 3000-4000 lbs. There are a lot of campers that are single axle and fit in this weight category. I used to have a 27', dual axle, electric brakes, 6300# (not loaded and no fluids), every option and electronics option, fantastic travel trailer, but it was too heavy for the regular towing. That meant it was the trailer or the vehicle that had to go...good-bye trailer. The Gladiator is still here.

Dual axle are superior. You can get 4,000 pound travel trailers with dual axles and the towing experience is far better. There are several that come in under the 5,000 pound GVWR with twin axles.
I'd not be afraid to tow a 4,000-5,000 camper behind my Overland. It handles 5,000 pounds on dual axles perfectly.

I've had both and would not go single axle again. Not for something like that. Much more stable on the highway and in winds, pavement dips and so on.

I'd probably not tow something with that sort of frontage at much over 5,000 pounds, but I'd tow up to 5,000 travel trailer on dual axles.

Thank you. Any struggles pulling that much?
It is no speed demon but it gets the job done. On large hills and mountains it will hold 65 but it drops to 3rd or 4th gear.

I am enjoying mine and had intentions of trading it when the new Colorado became available. I still have my JTR and have only done a quick drive by and look at the Colorado.

It does everything I need it to do: No more, no less. That and the fun factor of taking off the roof and doors to go driving dune-buggy style. Still smiling 2 years on. :)

Now if they'd just make a Âľ-T version...

The CLOSEST you're going to get is the Power Wagon.

It gets a bit upset when you take the doors and top off but otherwise it has solid axles and a solid driveline.

I think most people would agree that, love it or hate it, the Gladiator is the best convertible pickup currently on the market...

It's also the worst convertible pickup currently on the market and everything in between as well. But if you want a new truck with removable doors and roof. It's this.
