Mine, just built about 3 weeks ago, came with this -
Jeep Gladiator GPEC5 replaced by GPEC2 ? 1658539929957

You do realize those are the same part number, right?

SKU: 68568654AB
Other Names: Module
Applications: 4x4.
Replaces: 68568654AA

This is the core part number - 68568654
The AA to AB is just a revision.

And that number is for 21 and 22 models, not 2020

What makes you think one is a 2 and the other a 5?

They don’t use the same connectors, do they? That would be a non-starter right there.

That, and there are multiple GPEC2 - there's a 29 bit, there's a GPEC2a

Well i guess the AB revision was probably just a software update :( , i would be willing to buy one and send it off to someone who can help unlock these.

It's impossible to tell what such a minor revision of the part number is. Could even be who made the case it's in, but normally going from AA to AB is a small change, sometimes only those making them knows.

Software updates rarely roll the hardware part numbers. The PCM will report a software part number that is exclusive of the hardware part number.

Can't simply swap. They will replace it with the same version. Take a look and compare pin-outs and function. Besides...the compatibility is because the sc people and hp haven't caught. It's not because the hardware can't handle it.

Hi everyone, for 1 years I have been looking for information to install a tvs1900sc, my problem is ecu gpec5. really a big shit. I decided to exchange the gpec5 ecu for the gpec2a one with the wiring of the gpec2a connectors. I am waiting for the gpec5 and gpec2a connection diagrams to make the transition. if all the wiring is identical and the two diagrams can be combined, I will cut the files of gpec5 and combine the connectors of 2a. I cross my fingers, after all, it's the same vehicle, no change in the standard components from 2019 to 2023, only the ecu for lack of supply.
