I'm a bottom feeder. I bought 2 throttle body's on the cheap from a place that did a couple Hemi swaps, they looked like new. I ran one then switched and ran the other, when I had confidence in them I sent the two off to be modified by Fastman, then, I sold one to a member here. Still have my original if needed, but no prob with about 20,000 on the Fastman. Although I have definitely done a few small engine related mods, I really try to restrain myself from the more power rabbit hole. I do have the GPEC2 but have no desire for a tune or forced induction. I have the Mopar Intake, Fastman throttle body, Mishimoto catch can, Banks Pedal Monster, Corsa exhaust. I'm done, it's adequate for me.
Did ya take a mpg hit with the modified throttle body?

while looking for a solution, I've encountered this:

can someone please explain what they mean by PCM swap, by their connectors description, it sounds like the ECM, do they offer an unlocked ECM swap kit for the 2022 model?
ECU, PCM, ECM same thing. Jeep calls it a PCM. One PCM has one connector plug on the wiring harness. The other one has 2 connector plugs on the wiring harness.

I didn't notice anything dramatic at all. I live in the mountains and it is hard to get any thing consistent to use as a baseline with the variety of terrain. That said, yeah, if there was a change it wasn't noticable to me.

Thx much!

I was looking at the V6 Intake Adapter Kit by MMX, which seems the same. Are you familiar with them? and also with their Ported Upper and Lower Intake Manifold?
I have the 80mm throttle body from MMX. They are a great company and provide outstanding customer service. If I ever decided to do the 392 switch I would let them do it. I looked at the ported upper and lower intakes but I knew I would eventually install a Magnuson, which I have done. I am actually using the 80mm TB with the Magnuson and a Banks CAI both work great with the SC. When I was running NA I felt the throttle body and CAI gave me more power but of course no proof. The jeep just felt like it was quicker.

Hello all,

Since the "Forced Induction" is off the table for the JT 2022 GPEC5 Rubicon for the foreseen future, what other power upgrade options exist?

I'm scheduled for a software "Stage" upgrade early next month, I don't know precisely what it includes, but they claim an additional ~50HP; next week, I'm scheduled to put on the Borla ATAK Dual Round Angle Cut Ceramic Black and also the Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System w/Pro DRY S Filter Media, AFE manufacture claims an additional 12HP.

What would you recommend in addition to the above?

Thank you all in advance!
Cheers,
Ram
I am interested in the software stage upgrade. Can anyone tell me what this is? Thank you

I have a diablo sport tuner for my highly modified Challenger, finding dyno tuners that use their CMR software has proven to be impossible, at least in my area. I even live just 40 minutes from their shop and when I asked if they could tell me where to find a tuner in our area they didn't have a clue. They even have 2 dyno's in their shop (I've been there for a dyno day), but wouldn't tune my Challenger. I think most people use HP tuner, which is probably what I'm going to have to go with on the Challenger, not sure if I want to tune the Gladiator or not.

I am pretty sure gpec5 can't be tuned, if you try to access the eprom it fries it's self.

That is why no tuner will touch your gpec5

You misunderstand my point, I was talking about my Challenger, not the Gladiator. That being said, diablo sport advertises tuners for the 2020 Gladiator, you exchange your ECU with them then their tuner will work with it, hopefully that made a bit more sense.

Yes I understand, your older challenger and older jts, came with gpec2 or 2a, those can be programed or use the Holly replacement gpec2 ecu they sell for 900ish bucks.

You are screwed with 2022+ because they changed tp gpec5.

Yeah but everyone here is asking about and talking about Gladiator, and then you bring up Challenger which is 100% not related to the question you responded to by quoting it.

As far as model years of the change- in other threads, we seem to have found that the Gladiator used both 2a and 5 in the 2022 model year.
I have the GPEC 5 while some others responded they still had the 2a in their 2022 model.

I and others have posted pictures of the differences in the harness connections - side connectors vs. edge connectors, so if someone is wondering, the pictures are here.

Once again, another miss understand what I was trying to say, all I wanted to get across was that finding people to tune after you buy their (diablo sports), product is near impossible. Reading comprehension is fundamental!
